The next day Valeria woke up in the empty bed and turned to the other side. Tracing her hand over the silken sheets which were covering her naked body. "Mhmm~" Slightly moaning, she smiled softly as the whole room smelled like them. "Markos isn't that bad. I have misjudged him a lot." Valeria muttered to herself while glancing at the ceiling. Chuckling to her own voice, she looked heavenly with open hair.
Soon her expressions shifted from loving one upon recalling what happened between them. A grin appeared over her lips as he thought to herself about the success of her devious plan. "Good luck dealing with Markos, uncle." She smirked with a cunning chuckle. Valeria was proud of whatever she had done yesterday. "It took me a lot of convincing to make Markos believe that you were after my company."
"I know it is not you but that bastard Castello and your son." Valeria wrapped her arms around the shoulders. Clenching her eyes she was savouring the victory. "Well, still doesn't negate the physical damage you have done to me." Her eyes indicated rage and revenge. "If I don't have the power to challenge your standing. I shall bring you the worthy opponent." She knew who could challenge the Hayden empire.
Knowing that her uncle had a strong foothold with Castello Karman's backing. She needed some other influencing source of power. Who could be the better candidate other than Markos Moreno? The sinister tycoon who could bring the whole Milan at her feet if that made Valeria happy. Moreover, the woman was fully aware that upon listening to everything, Markos would not stay back silent.
"I shall see how you survive the blow which is coming towards you." Valeria laughed in the silent room, her evil chuckle resonated. "Oh, Markos. Markos. I really want to see how far you are willing to go for me." Turning to her right side, she sat in the bed. Knowing how badly her back hurt, Valeria was satisfied with his performance. Shaking her head with a shy smile, feeling the flutters, Valeria got up from the bed.
Dangling her legs she sighed heavily while waiting for Markos to drag down her uncle. It was the moment when miss Agnes walked in and Valeria noticed that she was the only person in the manor without any uniform. "Seems you had a wonderful night!" She spoke meaningfully in a naughty tone. Meanwhile Valeria couldn't help but laugh at the words. Shaking her head she approached miss Agnes and lovingly hugged her.
"You were right, Agnes." Valeria rubbed her cheek over hers, with her arms around Agnes' shoulders. The elderly woman grew confused and inquired while patting her face. "About what exactly? Markos loving you? Or having a night full of sex?" Valeria looked at her jaw dropped over the boldness. Meanwhile, Agnes was waiting for a reply with a grin. "Agnes! You shameless!" Both of them laughed at the awkward situation.
Just then the maids walked in with a few juices and tea. "You must be starving, no? Have these and freshen up. Come downstairs we shall have breakfast." Agnes turned around but paused before leaving. "And oh! Before you ask, Markos isn't home. He had something important to deal with. But you are on holiday today." Agnes winked while looking at her. "Perks of having the boss around your pinky."
Valeria chuckled and mouthed a thank you before Agnes left the room. All the other maids also walked out while one of them stood outside the door. Slightly opening the door ajar she examined Valeria and clenched her fingers. "Valeria Hayden? She is the one whom Markos is dating? This is going to be big news!" Turned out she was a journalist and hiding in the household to snap some outstanding news.
Leaving the door like that, the woman walked away in excitement. Her both hands turned into fists and a big smile over her lips. "Markos Moreno, hah! You never dated anyone, haven't even been involved in any scandal. How come you are keeping a woman in hiding? That too the same woman whose company he bought? Is Valeria sleeping with her as begging? Is this a kidnapping case? Ooooh~ I am so excited to break this!"
Meanwhile, in the dining hall downstairs, Valeria walked in clad comfortably in casuals. Agnes greeted her and they both sat down while the maids began to serve the food. Markos had already informed Agnes about the likes and dislikes. After all, he knew her very well from university days. Nonetheless, it made the journalist curious while she poured the juice. Cleaning the slight spill with an apology, Valeria looked at her.
"What's your name?" The blonde woman was stunned with the sudden question. She didn't expect Valeria to take interest in her. "Ella, miss." Maintaining her composure she made sure to speak. Valeria nodded and Ella walked away, suspecting that maybe Valeria had grown suspicious of her. Having breakfast she and miss Agnes talked. She explained how and where Markos met her and took Agnes there to Milan.
Deep down Valeria was stunned and somewhat happy to listen to all that. Miss Agnes took her leave for the usual nap while Valeria headed back to her room. In the midst, she sensed Ella following her and around the corner of the arcade; Valeria pulled her and tucked to the wall. "Ella Millman." Valeria's confident tone shocked Ella who wasn't expecting it. Not this soon at least. Both of the ladies stared at each other.
Valeria's elbow was on her neck as she continued. "Do you think I wouldn't recognise the reporter who is the best known?" This time Ella smirked and pushed her arm away. Faking a mild cough to clear her throat she continued. "Much obliged?" Ella spoke sarcastically, making Valeria smile as she turned around. Meanwhile, taking the cue Ella followed her to the room. "I will give you a grenade rather than bullets, if you do whatever I want, Ella Millman."
