Sophia was too stunned to speak. Her eyes only grew wider as Luca's gaze fixed on the bag in her hands.
"Sophia," he warned.
"It's... it's..." Sophia stuttered, unable to form a coherent sentence.
"It's my bag," a voice announced from behind Luca. Kim appeared, running to where they stood. "It's my bag, boss." She bowed her head slightly, her eyes flicking to Sophia with a reassuring glint.
"Your bag?" Luca raised an eyebrow, his suspicion evident.
"Yes, sir. Today was supposed to be my day off. To visit my family," Kim explained.
Sophia's heart flooded with relief. "Yes, that's right. I was just helping Kim with her things," she added quickly.
Luca's eyes narrowed as he looked between them, clearly weighing their words. After a tense moment, he sighed, rubbing his temples. "Fine. But make sure you're not doing anything stupid," he said, pointing a finger at Sophia. "I don't have time for games."
