Chapter 7 - First Blood
Elias looked towards his right leg's calf and saw it covered with the sharp teeth of a grotesque green being with pointed nose and ears.
It was a goblin with black lines around it's left eye, seeping deep into them. Its eyeball had completely turned red and there was a black cornea looking straight at him.
The goblin was only wearing a brown run down cloth that covered his private region. Its left side was completely covered in black lines, making it look more ferocious.
CRUNCH!
The teeth pushed inside his calf deeper, reaching the bone and snapping it. As if it was not enough, the goblin bit even more forcefully and completely severed the calf from his leg.
"AAAARGGHH" Elias began screaming when he saw a creature half his size holding his right leg's calf.
"Kekek Kek" The goblin licked the blood on his mouth as if savoring the best meal of his life.
It had already taken a bite of the calf and was not worried about his 'prey' escaping after losing the capability to run.
On the other hand, Elias saw his right leg and was dumbfounded.
It had begun to regenerate from the broken ends of bones, tendons, and muscles. The process was too fast, and it didn't even look like this was his second calf.
He came back to his senses and immediately noticed the goblin enjoying his calf.
Unnoticed to Elias, his green reptilian eyes began to shine with eight colors and his teeth became more sharp.
He grabbed the wide part of the tree branch and struck it at the small creature's leg.
Caught off guard, the goblin fell on his back and what he saw next was a demi-human holding a pointed tree branch.
STAB! STAB! STAB!
Its head was punctured in all directions, making it unrecognizable.
Elias looked at a certain status window appearing in his vision.

Elias looked at the system window and immediately saw the changes in his body.

He added the stat points to strength. It was not a heaven defying change, but he still felt his strength raise a little.
The moment he shifted his gaze towards the cave's entrance, he saw seven goblins rushing out of the cave's dark entrance.
They were rushing towards him in a frenzy after seeing their comrade's body.
Four goblins looked exactly like the goblin that Elias had killed, while the other three looked completely different.
One goblin was wearing a tattered robe and was holding a strange stick that looked like a skeleton arm grabbing an orb in its fist.
The other two goblins were rushing in front of the robed goblin with short swords in their hands.
Before the four goblins could surround Elias, he swung the tree branch, grabbing it from its pointed face. Two goblins were hit by the branch's wide area right at their face, throwing them away.
The other two goblins dodged the branch's attack with a duck and tried to attack with their sharp claws on Elias's thigh. One of them was kicked in the stomach, leaving the other one that had sunken its teeth deep in the right leg's thigh.
Elias dropped the branch and grabbed its head with his hands immediately. He placed his thumbs right on the goblin's eyes and burrowed them with all his strength.
"KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!???"
The goblin had let go of the thigh with a chunk of meat and was struggling with pain. Its head was still in Elias' hand.
CRUNCH!
Its skull was crushed with the force from both sides.

"Add them to strength!" Elias grabbed the tree branch again and rushed towards the goblin that he had kicked in the stomach.
Barely 5 seconds had passed, but the three goblins had already regained their balance and rushing towards him.
This time he smashed the wide area of the tree branch right into its head killing it immediately.

"Strength!"

This time he felt the change. He was now able to swing the tree branch with more force.
The three strange goblins had slowed down their movements.
He felt something was wrong and immediately saw the two goblins with swords rushing at him.
He finished off the other two goblins by smashing their heads again with the tree branch.

Elias saw the two sword goblins slashing their swords right into his body. He raised the branch in a horizontal angle and successfully blocking the blows.
Due to the force of the blow, he had slid two to three steps back, but he noticed that their swords were stuck in the tree branch. Not leaving the opportunity, he dropped the branch, that made the goblins bend down along with their swords.
With his agility, he grabbed the goblin's head and twisted it with force, turning it 360 degree towards its companion.

He quickly kicked the other goblin's hand and killed him with the head twister move.

He grabbed the sword and took it outside the tree branch. As soon as he brought out the sword -
BANG!
Elias was blown away by a fireball.
