The soup Eleonora had eaten that morning tasted bad. It was bitter. She had a little trouble swallowing it, but she managed to finish it with difficulty. Since Eleonora didn't say anything to Andrew, he didn't try to find out either. But he did give her a bottle of medicine that was said to be good for sleeping. It was the medicine bottle that Andrew placed on their portable dining table that made her two maids realize her condition. Both became overprotective. Even Eleonora was led like a blind person to her carriage.
"I'm absolutely fine, Aisha!" She tried to pull her hand from Aisha's grasp but to no avail. In fact, the handshake of the two maids was even tighter now.
"Why didn't you tell us, Lady? Do you not believe us at all?" Aisha teary-eyed protested to Eleonora.
She did not think that hiding the pain all over her body would cause trouble. After all, she would be able to rest in the carriage during the journey.
