Chapter 46 - Chapter 46 Sandy's Family

Shrimp? You're leaving just like that?

The crowd watched the departing figure, their faces collectively showing a thick color of disappointment. My goodness, not only did she openly snub the presence of Sage Ye Wen, but she was also in such a hurry to leave. Oh well, they admit, this child is really not someone ordinary people can understand.

"Interesting, interesting!" Sage Ye Wen watched the retreating figure with narrowed eyes, his face bearing no anger, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned, harboring a hint of interest. The things Ye Wen set his sights on had never failed to be obtained by him, and this child was destined to become his disciple.

"Sage Ye Wen, how do you see the upcoming assessments proceeding?" Luo Feng bowed slightly, addressing Ye Wen respectfully.

"Old man, I still have things to do; you carry on." Ye Wen came back to his senses, regaining his usual indifferent and arrogant demeanor. In a flash, he disappeared in front of everyone.

With Sage Ye Wen and Zhiyan having left, the scene quieted down considerably, with everyone going back to their own business. Instructor Luo Feng and the others resumed their usual aloof demeanor and continued testing the students.

"Wow, Little Yanyan is so amazing, I bet that within a day, your story will spread throughout Youlan Academy, and then you will be the star of the new students!" Shasha said while draping her arm over Zhiyan's shoulder, her face full of admiration.

"Boring." Zhiyan pouted, not at all interested in becoming the star of the new students.

"Ahem, I've heard that the most awesome new student will get to live in the legendary quadrangle. Maybe that person will be you." Shasha winked and chuckled mysteriously.

"The quadrangle?" Zhiyan raised an eyebrow.

"Hehe, Little Yanyan might not know about it, let my brother explain it to you." Shasha's glamorous little face squeezed out a mischievous smile, and with a little pull, she suddenly pushed Sharon, who had been silent for a long time, in front of Zhiyan.

Sharon helplessly glared at Shasha and then turned to Yanyan with his fair and handsome face showing a touch of gentleness, "The quadrangle, as Youlan Academy's most unique structure, has Crystal Cores arranged within, brimming with Spiritual Energy, it is the most mysterious area among the student dormitories."

"The quadrangle is exquisitely arranged, with pleasant scenery. It is divided into east, west, south, and north wings, each wing has four rooms, totaling forty-six rooms."

"Anyone who enters the quadrangle is a genius among geniuses. So far, only four people have the qualification to live there—they are Xihou Feng, Murong Lanxue, Duanmu Tuo, and Xuan Tianyuan."

"Apart from Xuan Tianyuan who is at the peak of an Advanced-level Sage, the other three are at the Mid-grade of an Advanced-level Sage. These four have vastly different temperaments and live together but always keep to themselves. It is rare to see all four of them appear at the same time..."

As Sharon spoke, his eyes, the color of emeralds, shot out a fiery glow. The quadrangle was the gathering place for the most talented students, a dormitory zone that stirred the blood of those who heard of it, and a sacred place every student dreamed of approaching; even he, a Prince of the Royal Family, was no exception.

"Advanced-level Sage at its peak?" Zhiyan didn't care about the quadrangle but focused her attention on Xuan Tianyuan.

"Indeed, Xuan Tianyuan is the legitimate heir of Xuanfeng Country and has been designated as the successor by the ruler of Xuanfeng Country. It's just a pity that this person is obsessed with cultivation and has no interest in politics. He could have graduated from the academy two years ago, but he has stayed until now..."

Sharon narrowed his eyes slightly, his face bearing a deep meaning. As the next successor to the throne of Longteng Country, he understood that some matters were beyond one's control. This school senior who had no interest in politics might be able to resist for a while, but he could not ultimately escape the destiny of inheriting the throne. By then, they might become rivals to each other.

"I, on the other hand, would like to meet this Xuan Tianyuan." Zhiyan's lips curled into a smile, her eyes tinged with a hint of interest. A person who could separate cultivation from power must have an extraordinary mind; at the very least, he was not tempted by power, which in another sense made him seem innocently charming.

"Alright, you might see her in three days, now let's find a place to eat." Shasha dragged Yanyan's hand without further ado, urging with a sense of grievance. Because she was worried about being late for the assessment, she didn't even have breakfast.

"Let's go." Sharon smiled indulgently, and the three of them walked towards the streets of Ming Capital.

Compared to the bustling crowds of the previous days, it was now easy and spacious. Shasha, in her light purple dress, flitted in front of various snack stalls, instantly becoming the most dazzling scenery on the street.

"Ladylike, poise!" Watching her crazed, joyous antics, Sharon had a face full of black lines and couldn't help but remind her.

"Ladylike my ass, I'm almost starved flat, and I'm not done with you," Shasha glared fiercely at Sharon, continuing to eat voraciously without care for her image. People around them stiffened, their faces showing expressions of horror—perhaps they had never seen such a fierce beauty before.

"Pfft, you've got food all over your chin." Zhiyan smiled beamingly, feeling very relaxed. Princess Shasha was enchanting and casual, without a trace of noble haughtiness, but rather full of cuteness that was hard not to like.

No sooner had she spoken than Shasha, who was in the midst of her eating frenzy, petrified. Her beautiful eyes, unblinking, stared into the distance. Zhiyan and Sharon followed her gaze only to see a young man in a moon-white robe approaching from the opposite side.

"Uncle." Sharon's brow furrowed slightly, surprised at the sight of the newcomer. Shasha, frozen in shock, suddenly jolted and, in a flurry, dropped the food in her hand, her face flushing with an urgent blush.

"Quick, Little Yanyan, help me check—is there anything amiss?" Shasha frantically wiped the grease from the corner of her mouth, transforming from her bold unrestrained self to the stereotypical shy little woman the moment she saw her husband.

Zhiyan was stunned, unable to comprehend for a moment—was this the Princess Shasha she knew?

"Longlong, Shasha." The man in the moon-white robe was already standing in front of them with a gentle and hard-edged face, smiling humbly, his voice rich and mellow, like a fine aged wine that lingered pleasantly.

"Hello, Uncle." Sharon took a step forward and greeted the man respectfully.

"Hm, Big brother was worried about you, so he sent me to accompany you. What's wrong, Shasha? Are you unhappy to see your uncle?" Sandy's gaze fell on Shasha, who was looking down. His sword brows furrowed slightly, his face showing a hint of tenderness.

"Ah, no, not at all." Called out by the man, Shasha startled, hurriedly denying, and in the instant she raised her head, the grease on her lips came into everyone's view.

"Heh heh, sneaking snacks again." The man gave a helpless smile, stepped closer to Shasha, and—while she was still in a daze—his pale forefinger touched her lip corner, wiping away the smear of grease.

"Girls should pay more attention when they are out," he said indulgently and warmly. The words reached Shasha's ears, and her porcelain fair face immediately flushed with a rosy glow, her eyes misty as she basked in his affection.

That's it, this girl had to go and fall for her own uncle.

Zhiyan stood on the side, finally understanding the scene before her. Her brows furrowed, and a hint of surprise and concern flickered through her clear, water-like eyes.

"And who might this young lady be?" It was only then that Sandy realized there was another person, and his look towards Zhiyan was suddenly filled with curiosity.
