Second day of swordsmanship training of Leo.
"Leo! You should know knowing how to handle sword doesn't make you a full fledge swordsman right away" Lawrence says, he pick up a wooden sword and at that moment he perform something like sword dance.
"This way" he strike again in the air, "the combination of body and sword" he continues to perform the sword dance, "should be one and that's all".
"So the first step of swordsmanship is..." Leo had a grasp on what the first step is but hes not that sure, and Lawrence confirmed it "Yes, it is the combination of body and sword. You should learn how to put your body and sword in one mind".
'One mind?' Leo wondered the meaning behind the words of Lawrence.
The Steps of Swordsmanship. Being a normal swordsman, in ranking of swordsmanship is what they call "0 star" is the swordsman that only know how to handle sword and doesn't know the combination of body and sword that is called the "1 star" rank in swordsmanship.
One of the pioneer of the swordsmanship once said, "The importance of knowing the body and sword combination in swordsmanship is like knowing the importance of food for daily life".
Even though it's vague, the swordsman who grasp the meaning of the pioneer of swordsmanship and create the so called "The Steps of Swords" also called "Rank of Swordsmanship".
From that day on swordsman around the world treats the body and sword combination as the foundation of swordsmanship which all of the swordsman agrees.
Back in anixiateiry forest, swamp, near the river of poison. "Now what you need to learn is to know how to perform the body and sword. Yesterday, you learn how to handle the sword yes? But your still lacking" Lawrence said.
"So I want you to continue to learn how to handle sword" Lawrence then goes up to the three house. Lawrence can easily jump there but Leo need to use the swinging ladder that is made by wood and twine.
'I need to focus..' Leo thought as he brought the sword up and do a vertical slash. He still make some mistake on doing vertical slash, it curve a little bit from what he originally plan.
Leo take a deep breath and let a big breath out. 'Breathing.. it feels like I need to breath in putting my sword out and breath out doing vertical slash' he thought, and he's correct.
He done a flawless vertical slash. "So this is it?" he ask himself. Lawrence is looking at him from the above and said "Looks like a monster had been born".
'It takes me 1 week to do a flawless vertical slash' he thought as he watch Leo doing vertical slash again and again trying to maintain the flawlessness of his every slash.
