After leaving Jack and his sister, Aiden walked while checking his wristwatch almost every second until he reached the lawyer's building.
After all the delay, he had spent so much more time than expected. He checked the time once more as he stood in front of house 120.
"Shit!" Aiden exclaimed as he checked the time again, "It's already 7:30, I spent 1 hour and 30 minutes more than the agreed time."
He breathed in and out as his hand met with the door, knocking on it.
Knock, knock.
Deep inside the building, in a dimly lit room, a lady who was busy changing into her nightgown sighed. She hastened what she was doing and walked out of her room.
Knock, knock.
Aiden's hand met with the door again as there was no answer the first time.
"I'm coming," a voice finally responded from inside the building.
"Alright," Aiden said, rubbing his hands together.
