Alex tossed and turned on the tiny mattress, his movements restless and agitated. He was trapped in a nightmare, reliving a traumatic experience he desperately wanted to escape. Suddenly, he jolted awake, his face drenched in sweat, his breathing rapid.
As he sat up, he couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Why did he have to relive this horror every night? Hadn't he already endured enough in real life? The memories of his childhood traumas lingered, refusing to let him start the day with a smile.
Alex stood up, rubbing his eyes, and made his way to the small toilet. He barely fit inside, but managed to brush his teeth and wash his face. As he exited, the building began to shake violently, throwing him off balance.
"What's happening!" he exclaimed, struggling to stay on his feet. "I knew I bought this house for a low price, but I didn't think it would be a death trap!"
