Three days later
In the training ground that Alex had chosen for Qingyue's and his own training, Qingyue was sitting in the lotus position, circulating the energy inside her body.
At this moment, she was in the process of removing the Frozen Cloud Asgard's Emotion Severing Technique from her body as Alex had demanded. The process of doing so was a lot tedious than cultivating it.
In the cultivation world, it was kind of common sense to not cultivate any cultivation arts that might have to be removed or discarded later on as while making the body get the effects of a cultivation process was easier compared to removing it.
If one was not careful then, their body might suffer a large amount of backlash that could harm the cultivator or even potentially cripple them.
But, Qingyue did not have to worry about the backlash at all as Alex had refined an Emperor Grade Body Nourishing Pill for her and had helped her absorb it before beginning the technique removal process.
Due to the pill made by Alex, her body had strengthened greatly and the residual effects of the pill were currently helping her with the process without any side-effects.
After a few minutes, Qingyue felt that the effects of the technique had started to break down. Within a few minutes, the technique was completely removed. And as soon as it was removed, her emotional side that was laid dormant for the last few years due to the effects of the technique had started to awaken and overwhelm her mind.
She grasped her head as her face started to distort, it was just a migraine attack had just hit her and that to of the final level. Xia Qingyue had started to scream loudly.
"Aah!! H-How could I do this !?"
Inside her mind, all the memories of the past few years were repeating. The only difference this time was that her emotional side was awakened.
Due to which she had started to see and feel her own actions from a third person's perspective, which was causing her to break down mentally. She could not believe that all those actions were done by herself. The way she treated her father and brother was really pathetic.
All they did for her was genuine care and what did she do for them in return? She betrayed their love and never appreciated their efforts nor showed any care towards them.
Alex had already expected that she would suffer from a mental breakdown. He was already prepared to deal with it in advance. He disappeared from his place and appeared behind Qingyue and did a swift hand strike on her neck, effectively knocking her out.
Alex carried her in his hands and sighed and disappeared from his training grounds. Soon, Alex appeared inside the room he had rented in the nearest town. Alex laid her on the bed and looked at her deeply and softly said,
"I am sorry to let you suffer like this, but it's better for you to suffer right now and correct your ways right now before trying to gain more strength."
Alex took out a pill he had refined from his inventory and stuffed it inside her mouth and the pill swiftly dissolved and assimilated into her body. This was the Mind Nourishing Pill, a Nascent Profound grade pill that although doesn't suppress the emotions of the consumer but gives a serene and soothing feeling to the person's mind.
Alex sat on his own bed which was near her's but not joined together. They were sharing a same room but nothing of that sort had happened between them...yet.
Anyways, continuing on, Alex also laid on his own bed, thinking about all the things that had happened in the past three days.
Alex was continuously refining pills for the past three days and he came to understand one thing which was, knowledge doesn't mean experience.
Alex had thought that since he has the best knowledge, he wouldn't need to practice much. But he was wrong and he understood it the hard way. He had ruined more than 40 percent of the pill materials that he had bought.
He suffered continuous failures without any success in the beginning. Only after a wasting 15 percent of the Emperor Grade Pill materials did Alex succeed for the first time. It was also this time that Alex had understood the importance of stable heat for the refining process.
Alex had found that even small factors played a big role in alchemy. From maintaining temperature to minute degree's to the flow of the energy from the Alchemist to the pill furnace and many more.
Alex had improved his ability of understanding the temperature requirements of the pills he had created till now, but there was still a problem that made Alex loose more pill materials, and that was,
Profound Energy Control
He had messed up a lot of times because of lack of control over the profound energy. Sometimes he didn't give as much energy as the pill had required and sometimes he gave it way too much, to the point that it had nearly made the pill furnace burst.
"I need to improve my control over the Profound Energy. As currently with an utter trash Profound Energy Control, my chances of refining the pills above the True Profound Grade are lesser than 50 percent and for the Emperor Grade, it's 10 percent. As for above that....let's not think about it for now."
"Moreover, it will also help me later on, as a great Profound Energy control would help me in the Artifact Refining process and also in actual battles as well. I need to stop being overconfident, it is gonna be the death of me like this."
"First, I need to handle the situation with Qingyue and then I need to improve myself. I need to increase my defensive and offensive arsenal by a lot. I should just try to sleep for now, even though I don't need to, but it doesn't cause any harm."
