Days had passed and Bar Julius had been die hard on Miguel's court case. Beatrice noticed that with Julius in the picture things are really gonna look ugly so she decided to eliminate Julius the old-fashioned way. Beatrice hired assassins to take out Julius. After the second court case was adjourned until the next sitting immediately Julius stepped outside of the courtroom to get into his car he was confronted by armed men who hijacked him, threw him into a van and zoomed off. Immediately Beatrice received the information that Julius had been kidnapped; he called the chief judge and asked him to schedule the court case for the next day. Everything was perfectly set Julius was out of the way and Miguel would have nobody to defend him in court everything was over for Miguel.
Miguel just received the information that he has another court case tomorrow and he has been trying Julius' line but yet no response he's becoming worried he doesn't understand why Julius will not be picking his call in such a crucial moment while Miguel was still trying Julius' line Beatrice walked in. Looked at Miguel and mockingly said
"Miguel I heard you have another court case, well luckily for you, you have Bar Julius The Great to save you" she gave a swift devilish smile and walked away.
Meanwhile, in the hideout where Julius was detained he was tied to a chair and his face was covered with a cloth. The kidnappers were busy laying down terms and conditions to him they were about three of them in the room
"Now the deal is simple, stay off Miguel Mendoza's case and you live, keep fighting for him and you die" one of the kidnappers said. The other one then leaned closer to his face and said
"So what's it gonna be?" But Julius said nothing, he wasn't frightened by their threats. They then pulled the cloth off his face to frighten him. They looked into his eyes and spitted on his face then they all laughed and leaned on each other. Julius was simply waiting for the right time to make a move.
But then the next day had come and the court had assembled. Miguel was still trying to reach out to Julius but all attempts ended in failure. When the allegation were again laid against him and his attorney was call upon to defend him, Miguel with a stammering voice said
"Ba…ba…bar Julius is not present in court today?" The chief judge kept a confused face as if he didn't know what was happening.
"So did he maybe drop a letter of absence?" The chief judge asked.
"Not that I know of," Miguel replied. Immediately the chief judge was provoked and started shouting
"This is madness! This is disrespectful! How dare he act in such a manner, expecting us to wait until he comes back from wherever he is? This assembly has come and a decision must be made so I hereby indefinitely sentence you to a lifetime imprisonment and this is my final verdict!!" He stamps his mallet on the desk. Immediately police officers came and cuffed Miguel and started to take him away. Grandma cried to hold on to Miguel as they took him away
"Miguel, my sweet boy! Don't take my Miguel away she cried out" Both Emilia and Beatrice's hearts were filled with joy and smiles all over their faces they thought they'd won.
Meanwhile, still in the hideout where Julius was detained, all the kidnappers were asleep; only one was awake to keep watch. Julius had a small razor in his back pocket and struggled to reach out for it until he finally got it. He started to use it to cut the rope they used to tie his hand to the chair bit by bit. He really struggled to cut the ropes. He even cutted himself in the process but still he endured the pain and kept cutting and cutting until he was done. Then kept his hand behind his back and acted as if he was still tied to the chair. He then started coughing and coughing as if he was choking. This attracted the kidnapper's attention, he rushed to Julius and tried to help him. Julius kept coughing seriously and was pleading for water, the kidnapper rushed to get him water then squatted to give him the water. But Julius immediately used his head to nod his nose, the kidnapper staggered and fell on the ground. Julius stood up immediately and started punching him. He punched him till he blacked out. Julius looked around and while the others were still asleep he sneaked out of the place where he was detained and ran out immediately.
Meanwhile, the three women Beatrice, Emilia and Selene were celebrating a premature victory.
"I can't believe it Miguel has finally been sentenced to a lifetime imprisonment" Emilia said
"You better believe it my child" Beatrice replied
"And he thought he was a rock, he didn't know we were stronger," Selene added. Then all the ladies started laughing. Suddenly they started hearing grandma and Abigail's voice outside as if they were celebrating, they didn't know what was happening
"What's happening outside?" Emilia asked
"I don't know, let's find out, '' Selene said. All the ladies rushed outside to see what was happening. When they got there they were surprised they couldn't believe their eyes they saw Miguel again! They were speechless; they didn't know what to say. But Emilia suddenly broke the silence
"I don't understand why he is here, what he is doing here?" Emilia asked. Miguel turned to Emilia and said
"Bar Julius came back and wrote a statement to the court to seek an appeal, his appeal was granted and the court case will now be taken to the court of appeal. So I was granted bail until the next sitting" he said this boldly and held his daughter tight he then added
"And oh just so you know the court of appeal will be employing a new Chief Judge, everything will be different this time" while they were still outside discussing Edison, Beatrice's husband drived in he's just coming back from his business trip when he stepped out of the car he was surprised to see everyone outside and the police were in his compound so he had to ask what was happening. One of the officer said
"Mr Edison Gonzales, Mr Miguel Mendoza has just been granted bail again and is given another opportunity to present his case to the court of appeal. He is appealing that your company be sued to court for possession of hard drugs and trying to frame him for it" when Edison heard this his heart skipped he didn't know what to say he just stood speechlessly, Bar Julius has really outdone himself this time...
