Day 46:
9:00 AM – Woke up to the smell of tomatoes and cheese wafting through the castle. My first thought was that Grog had decided to try his hand at cooking again, which meant we were in for another adventure.
Interlude – Morning Sniff Test:
Seraphina: "Is that...pizza?" Vortax: "Either that or Grog's new experimental breakfast. Let's hope for pizza."
10:00 AM – Gathered in the kitchen to find Grog, Agnes, and a few other minions in the midst of a pizza-making frenzy. Grog explained they wanted to celebrate Ted's successful return by making everyone's favorite comfort food. The minions were excited, but judging by the flour-covered floor and the odd smell, I had my doubts.
11:00 AM – Decided to help with the pizza-making process. Seraphina and I took charge of the dough, while the minions handled the toppings. Agnes had a surprisingly delicate touch with the dough, but Grog...not so much. His attempts were more like kneading rocks than dough.
Interlude – Dough Disaster:
Grog: "Why won't this dough behave?" Vortax: "Grog, you're supposed to knead it, not wrestle it into submission."
12:00 PM – The kitchen became a battleground of flour, sauce, and toppings. Minions slipped on stray bits of pepperoni, and a few cheese explosions had everyone ducking for cover. Despite the chaos, the camaraderie was heartwarming.
1:00 PM – Just as we were getting the hang of things, the oven started behaving oddly. It would heat up one moment and cool down the next. Agnes swore it was haunted, while Grog suggested we just light a dragon under it.
Interlude – Oven Oddities:
Seraphina: "Do you think it's another glitch?" Vortax: "Either that or the oven's got a mind of its own. I'm hoping for the former."
2:00 PM – While troubleshooting the oven, I discovered an old spellbook wedged behind it. The spells were all food-related and mostly useless, like "Infinite Breadstick" and "Mystical Marinara." One spell, "Perfect Pizza," caught my eye. Desperate times called for desperate measures.
3:00 PM – Decided to try the "Perfect Pizza" spell. The book warned of unpredictable side effects, but we were already in deep. As I recited the incantation, the oven glowed brightly, then settled into a steady heat. The minions cheered, and we got back to making pizzas.
Interlude – Spell Success:
Grog: "Do you think it worked, Boss?" Vortax: "Either it worked, or we just turned the oven into a magical portal. Let's hope for pizza."
4:00 PM – The pizzas turned out perfectly, much to everyone's surprise. The spell seemed to have done the trick, and the minions couldn't wait to dig in. We set up tables in the courtyard, turning it into a makeshift pizzeria.
6:00 PM – As the minions devoured their pizzas, I noticed some side effects of the spell: glowing toppings and pizza slices that floated for a few seconds before landing on plates. It was bizarre but harmless, and everyone was too busy enjoying the food to care.
Interlude – Floating Feast:
Seraphina: "Max, your slice is glowing." Vortax: "It's just a little magic. Adds flavor, I think."
8:00 PM – The pizza party was a huge success. Laughter and chatter filled the courtyard as we enjoyed the fruits of our chaotic labor. Even the dragons seemed content, basking in the warmth of the magical oven.
10:00 PM – Ended the day feeling content and connected. The minions went to bed with full bellies and happy hearts. Seraphina and I shared a quiet moment, reflecting on how much we had accomplished together.
