As I reached for my phone, a chilling voice whispered behind me, freezing me in place. "You shouldn't be snooping around where you don't belong," it said, sending shivers down my spine. I slowly turned around, heart pounding, to find Ryan standing at the door, with his arms crossed.
"I was not snooping around!" I asserted, though it was false.
"Then explain to me what were you doing?" he asked.
"I... I came here looking for you!" I stammered, struggling to find words.
"Looking for me? Why?" he asked with a hint of concern.
"Umm... I wanted to know if I could call my friend to come over," I said, a half-truth.
"You can't, because she won't be able to find her way. Let her know I will send someone to pick her up. Do send me her address," he said.
"But... how would I know you wouldn't do anything wrong to her?" I asked, concerned about my friend.
"Well..." he said and stepped forward towards me. I kept going backward, but I couldn't go back much since the cabinets hit me at the back. He stepped forward until there was no gap between us. His left hand tucked my hair behind my ear while caressing my jawline. As he reached for my chin, he lifted my face to meet his eyes. His right hand slowly crossed my left side and went to the back, and then he pulled me closer to him.
"Well, why would I have eyes for someone else? You are the only thing running in my mind, Savage. Ever since I saw you, only I know how much I am holding back to not make you mine until you permit me to. And when you give me that permission, I will make you see the stars in the morning and make you feel that no one, I repeat, no one has ever or ever they will. And when you realize that, you will fall too deeply, that even when you try to get out, you will fail miserably. You will have no idea what you are getting yourself into. Even if you do, you won't be able to stop yourself. I would drive you crazy," he slowly whispered those words. They were like a spell. I got so caught up in him, I couldn't think of anything. All I could think was how his voice would sound when he would be yelling my name. He slowly leaned closer and kissed me. This would be the third time he kissed me without my permission.
The fact that I couldn't refuse him speaks volumes. He kissed me aggressively while I responded with passion. The situation was confusing, to say the least, as our feelings were all over the place. I reached for his shoulders, but he seemed to disapprove. His left hand left my chin and held both of my hands above my head. The intensity of the moment grew with each passing second as his right hand slid down from my waist to my butt. I was unable to resist him, nor did I want to. Suddenly, a loud ringtone startled us both, causing us to break apart. I picked up my phone from the ground to see Emily video-calling me. Ryan signaled for me not to answer, but who was I to obey him? I answered the call, and the first thing she said was, "
"Did you just kiss someone? Your lips are too red and puffed," I blushed too damn hard. I cleared my throat for a distraction, and then I noticed something unfamiliar in her background: greenery, behind her. As far as I know Emily, she is not a nature person, so the chances of her going to the middle of the woods are negative.
"Where are you right now, Emily? Because your background doesn't match your type," I said.
"Oh well, I am in front of this castle. I found your location and it showed me this." My eyes widened, and so did Ryan's, as Emily turned around and showed us Ryan's castle. I was speechless and shocked.
"How... how did you find that? My location's off," I said, to which she just giggled and said,
"I have my ways. Anyways, could you tell these guys on the ground to let me come inside?" She said and showed us the guards, bruised as hell, lying on the ground. Three of them are unconscious, and one is barely conscious.
"Well, you almost killed them. Why do you think you need permission?" I asked sarcastically.
"Well, you know, rules and stuff," one thing about Emily is that she never disobeys the rules or anything, so even if there is no one inside, she would wait outside until someone gives her permission to go. She was perfect at our school. Funny how I kept getting in trouble and she was my opposite half.
"Well, you can come inside. Don't mind them; they are just following orders," I said, to which Emily said okay and cut the call. I quickly told Ryan to go to his room and don't come out until I said so. Knowing Emily, if she finds out that he kidnapped me, I am sure no greater power can hold her back from killing Ryan, which is why I need to make sure she understands everything. To my dismay, Ryan was already greeted by Emily. She was smiling, but I could see anger behind her eyes. I tried to get them away but failed.
"Why is my best friend in your castle?" she asked. Of course, she knew it was Ryan's castle, since wherever he goes, maids bow at him, and she damn well knows I don't have enough money to build a castle, especially one this big. Before I could stop Ryan from saying the truth, he said it all.
"She is here because her brother sold her, and I am the one who bought her, so I kidnapped her." Why the freak was he being brutally honest at the worst moment? I thought as I stepped towards Emily, who was fuming behind her fake smile. Emily's eyes blazed with fury. Without a word, she lunged forward, her hands balling into fists. Ryan stumbled back. As Emily closed the distance between them, tension crackled in the air. What vengeance was she about to unleash, and would anyone emerge unscathed?...
