Aether ran as fast as she could through the increasingly dark forest. Tall trees with branches that stretched out like giant arms seemed to be trying to block the transmitter. The cold wind blew through his hair, carrying faint whispers of unknown origin. Even though his heart was filled with fear and anxiety, her determination to find Remi was stronger than anything else.
"Remi! Remi!" She shouted, hoping for an answer from his little friend. However, only silence answered, accompanied by the rustling of dry leaves underfoot.
Every step she took felt harder and harder. Aether could feel his heart pounding, but she didn't slow down. Her heart felt increasingly empty with every minute that passed without an answer. 'I have to find him,' Aether thought frantically. "He's alive... he has to be alive."
After a while, Aether arrived at an open area in the middle of the forest, where the trees were starting to become sparse and thick fog covered the ground. In the midst of the mist, she saw something that made her blood run cold—a small body lying still on the ground.
"Remi?" Aether whispered softly, her voice filled with fear and disbelief. With unsteady steps, she approached the body. As she got closer, her heart broke seeing Remi's pale and lifeless face, her eyes closed as if she was sleeping.
"Remi, no..." Aether fell beside the small body, tears streaming down her cheeks. "No... this is impossible."
He grabbed Remi's shoulders, shaking Aether gently, hoping for a miracle. "Remi, wake up... please, wake up!" he sobbed, but there was no response. Remi's body remained cold and still.
As Aether shook Remi's body, she felt something strange. The air around her felt heavier, and she could feel an unnatural presence. She raised his head slowly, and across the clearing, among the shadows of the mist, Aether saw something that made the hairs on the back of his neck bristle.
A tall, yellow figure stood still, watching them. His face was hidden behind a mask that resembled a human face, but without emotion. The invisible eyes behind the mask seemed to stare directly at Aether, as if penetrating into the soul. The figure's yellow robe fluttered, as if movement by a wind that Aether could not feel.
"Who are you?" Aether shouted angrily, despair turning into seething anger. "What have you done to Remi?"
The figure remained still, but Aether felt its presence grow stronger, as if it was gripping her with an invisible force. The figure raised one long, thin hand, pointing it towards Aether. His low and resonant voice sounded, as if it came from the depths of the infinite darkness. "Young warrior," he said in a strange, unnatural tone. "You came too late. Your friend's life has been taken by the will of this universe."
Aether felt her anger burning even more. "No! I don't believe it!" She exclaimed. "You did this! You are responsible! Do you... do you want my power, Huh?"
The yellow-looking figure chuckled, the sound of his laughter was cold and terrifying, like the crack of winter. "What Power? What A Joke, My power is far beyond what you know, young Lady. I do not want your power, I only wish to show you the inevitable truth of this existence. Your friend is just one of the many lives lost in the endlessly turning wheel of fate."
Aether gripped his sword tightly, pain and anger flooding through him. "I don't care about your wheel of fate or your powers. I just want Remi back!"
The figure did not move, but its aura became increasingly threatening. "Remi won't come back," he said calmly. "Like everything alive, he has returned to illusion. You cannot change fate, Aether."
Aether couldn't accept those words. She felt her entire body shaking with pain and anger. "I don't care whatever you say!" She shouted. "I will kill you if it means I can take him back!"
Aether leapt forward with a furious shout, her dagger aimed at the figure. But before her sword could reach the yellow figure, an invisible force stopped her in hers tracks. Aether was thrown backwards, falling to the ground heavily. Her body felt heavy, as if she was being crushed by an invisible force.
The figure remained standing calmly, unwavering. "You still don't understand, young man," he said in an almost pitying tone. "No one can fight. No one can fight the truth from deception."
Aether felt her entire body begin to weaken, but hers heart was still filled with anger and determination. He tried to get back up, even though every movement felt heavy. "You... you may be strong," in a weak but determined voice, "but I won't give up. I will fight... for Remi... for everyone."
The figure looked expressionless, thinking for a moment. "Your courage is admirable, young man," he said at last. "But courage alone is not enough to fight illusions. You need understanding. You have to accept that there are limits that even your strength cannot surpass."
Aether staggered forward, still holding his sword even though his hands were shaking. "I don't believe it," he said hoarsely. "There's always a way. There's always hope."
The yellow-faced figure smiled faintly behind his invisible mask. "Then keep searching, Warrior of Light and Darkness," he said as he stepped back, the fog around him growing thicker. "But that silence, every step you take towards knowledge, you get closer to madness."
And with those words, the figure slowly disappeared into the mist, leaving Aether alone in the middle of the forest, next to Remi's lifeless body. Aether fell to her knees beside her little friend, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"I... I'm sorry, Remi," She whispered, her voice cracking with sadness. "I should have been here sooner. I should have protected you."
He raised his head, looking at the sky which was now starting to darken. "I don't know who or what you are, yellow-eyed creature," She muttered, "but I swear I will find a way to avenge this. I will find answers. And I will make sure no one else has to lose like this."
With a heavy heart and renewed determination, Aether stood up. the road ahead will be increasingly difficult, increasingly dark. But now, she had a new reason to keep going, to fight the darkness, and to discover the truth about what had happened to Remi.
Aether then buried Remi's body full of grief and sadness. She recalled every memory she experienced with Remi, "Remi, your sudden death shocked me, I can't believe you're really gone. Life is much shorter than we imagine. I will always remember our times together. We have some fond memories, but there is something about you that is unique among most people I know. You will be forever missed and never forgotten, even in this Cruel world."
Aether Places Picked Hydrangeas Near Remi's Grave. Aether saw an Epoch gravestone with Remi's name carved on it. The strong wind blows from the indescribable horizon, bringing warmth between their moments of separation.
With heavy steps, Aether walked away from Remi's grave, then, she turned towards Remi's grave "Good Bye, My Beloved Friends, For Always there for Me." She Then Leaving Him With Smiling And Crying.
