Ken was finally discharged from the school clinic at 8 p.m., feeling immense relief as he headed back to his cozy dorm room after a long, grueling day.
As he strolled through the familiar corridors, bathed in warm fluorescent lighting, he spontaneously decided to make a quick detour to Scott and Travis's room to check in on them, before heading off to the second level dorm building to meet Sam.
Upon arrival, Ken was met with an unexpected sight: Scott and Travis's room lay eerily empty, devoid of its usual occupants.
His gaze scanned the space, taking in the silence, his mind raced with possibilities. Had they stepped out for a moment? Or were they engaged in an evening activity?
But a plausible explanation soon emerged.
Perhaps Scott and Travis were still in the canteen, indulging in a well-deserved, late dinner after an exhausting day of training. Concluding this as the reason, it had brought a relief to his mind.
