Closing his eyes, he took a brief moment to focus. When he opened them again, a shimmering portal materialized before him.
The portal pulsed with an ethereal glow, its edges dancing with tiny sparks of blue lightning. This soft hue stood in stark contrast to the fiery red that typically accompanied Sam's portals.
"I could have easily opened up a portal using my own powers," Sam explained, "but I wanted to demonstrate how to harness the crystal's energy. Though our powers share similarities, yet the crystal's unique properties make it an invaluable tool."
Despite sharing a common thread – the ability to create portals to specific locations – Sam's powers and the beast crystal's capabilities possessed distinct differences.
