AURELIA'S POV:
I'm slowly roused awake by the voice of two people speaking above me. My eyes feel groggy and I feel disoriented as my eyes peel open. For a moment, I wonder how I got to this soft, cloud like bed, and then the earlier events of the day assaults me.
Mia. Mia had set me up, and Alessandro believed her, punishing me and even going as far as forcing me to eat something I'm allergic to.
"Oh good, she's awake." The doctor exclaims from above me as my eyes fall on his short stocky frame.
"Oh thank God! I was so scared! How are you feeling? Are you okay now?" Mia jumps at me from a couch carefully positioned beside the bed.
Her eyes are filled with tears, and she looks like she has aged a few years since the incident at the dining room.
