AURELIA'S POV:
"You can stay. I forgive you." I say with a resigned sigh as I return my attention back to the garden.
"Thank you." Mia says in a soft tone as she remains on her spot beside me.
I merely nod my head in response. It's only time that will tell if she is actually sincere in her apology or if she's merely trying to manipulate me.
"If we are all good, then can we go on a little shopping trip." Mia says after some time, in a tentative tone as though she is scared of what my response might be.
"That wouldn't be necessary. Even if I wanted to go, Alessandro wouldn't let me out of the house." I say with a scoff as I stare longingly at the large black gates.
"That wouldn't be a problem. I can have that sorted out. Alessandro wouldn't refuse me." Mia says hastily, her eyes jumping in excitement.
