Kofi closed his eyes towards the upcoming attack. He was unknowingly reflecting on his past battles with the guards.
"So it is like this" Unknown to Kofi, he had entered a strange state.
*BOOM *BOOM *BOOM
The dust quickly settles but all that could be seen is Kofi standing there dazed looking at the sword in his hands. And of course, the stupefied Robert who could not believe what he had just seen.
"How is this possible?" Robert muttered to himself as he watched Kofi as if he was looking at the most precious treasure in the world.
*RUN *RUN *RUN
Before Kofi could react, Robert could be seen running towards the living quarters.
"Clan leader, clan leader!!!" Robert, lost in himself shouted on top of his voice.
"What is the problem Robert, and where is Kirk?" a displeased expression could be seen on George's face as he spoke.
"Clan leader, you have to see it with your own eyes" Robert still impatient replied while panting for breadth.
"Hope you don't disappoint me Robert" George unwilling to talk too much replied as he followed behind the itchy Robert.
*WAM *WAM
"What happened here?" George asked in surprise as he saw Kofi standing there looking at the sword in his hands seemingly dazed about what just happened. His biggest surprise however came from the fact that 6 guards in the Rank two Houtian mid stage where lying weakly on the ground. Though not dead, they seem heavily injured.
"What happened?, son how did you do this?" At this point, George seemed to have realized what Robert was so hyped about earlier. However he still wanted to understand how his son with no martial cultivation could defeat six guards in the rank two of the Houtian stage.
"Son, can you attack Daddy like you did to these guards earlier?" George woke Kofi from his daze with his question, seemingly excited.
"Yes Dad" After replying, Kofi gave his stance which also shocked George given he had not taught Kofi anything related to battle stance.
"COME"
Kofi's figure flashed as he arrived in front of George. His sword moved as though they where apart of his body. Like fish in the water, the sword moved so free and unhindered as it approached George. George effortlessly hit the sword aside.
*BAM *BAM *BAM
George sucked in cold air as he started o yell unto of his lungs, as though he had gone mad.
"One with the sword, haha it is ( one with the sword)" George muttered to himself as he replayed what had happened in his heard.
"Hahaha, follow me son, let's go home. Training ends for now today" Happiness could not best describe how George was feeling right now.
"What calls for all this noise I am hearing?" Winter's voice could be heard as the neared the house.
"Our son is a genius" George was still unable to control his excitement as he replied.
"Yes I know that, but what calls for the occasion " Winter asked confused.
"Our son comprehended (one with the sword)" George finally let it out,
"Stop playing with me George, Tell me what really happened" Winter refused to believe such words as they sounded impossible to her.
"Your highness, clan leader is telling the truth, young master displayed (one with the sword) when we were training today"
*BAM *BAM *BAM
"What did you say?" Winter still refused to believe it despite hearing it from Robert as well.
"Hey son, do you mind showing mom your new skill?" Hilary asked softly, unable to hide her anticipation.
"Sure, get ready mom" Kofi replied as he made his way towards Winter with a sword in his hands.
As though space itself was being sealed, Winter felt her movement slightly affected as the sword approached. It was like a vortex of closely combined lines were closing in on her.
*Boom *Boom
When the dusts settles, Kofi and Winter could be seen standing there looking at each other. One seemed to be in a daze wile the latter seemed to be overjoyed.
"He really did" Winter muttered softly as she watched her son with pride in her eyes.
George and Robert on the other hand reacted as though they had seen a ghost. They could sense the restrictive nature of the sword while it approached Winter. Although they had high cultivation bases, they could still feel the restrictive nature, although almost non-existent to them, that would be enough to defeat anyone below Rank 6 Houtian Stage.
"How is this possible?" George and Robert muttered at the same time as they watched Kofi before them. This is because, in all the books they had read through the ages, there had never been a situation where someone had the comprehended (one with the sword) and can even defeat Houtian experts relying on his understanding in the sword and not pure strength.
That evening, George held a feast for Kofi to celebrate his achievement. He also increased the salary of the six confused guards who did not know what was going on or how they where defeated. They thought, perhaps Robert in the last moment saved Kofi from their hands hence leading to what happened.
After the feast, George could be seen walking side by side with Kirk (Kofi) as they spoke about irrelevant father-son related topics.
"Son do you know how big the cultivation world is?" George asked as he watched this son with pride.
" No Daddy, I only know is that, in the whole of Lenux, there are many powerful continents and strong cultivators are as numerous as the stars" Kirk replied with an innocent face.
"Good Good, so do you know the various stages in the cultivation word?"George asked playfully.
"Listen carefully son, In the cultivation world, there are Five know stages in the Lenux world. The first is the Houtian Stage. Then we move to the Xantian Stage. After comes the Establishment Stage, Fourth is the Alpha Stage and Fifth is the Maxim Stage where you face your tribulation to ascend into immortality."
"Over the years, Those who have been able to reach the Maxim Stage are very very few not to talk of those who actually ascend into immortality."
"Alpha Stage experts are very scarce hence Establishment Stage experts are the leaders in most Families and institutions. They can be considered the leaders of the society if no Alpha or Maxim Stage expert shows up".
