Chapter 9 - Four years in the blink

Meanwhile back in the Qin Mansion, Kirk could be seen sleeping. After he passed out, The hidden guard went out to pick him up and hurried to the mansion.

'Why Did you not save him?" George asked in fury as he saw the injuries on his son's body. "I'll put you through more than death if you don't answer"

"Clan lord, he wanted to test the limit of his strength and hence decided to fight off a pack of wolfs" The guard replied.

"What? A pack of wolfs, even a Rank nine Houtian might die from their combined attack, no wonder he is injured so badly. But why did you not save him" George seemed to understand now, however, it still did not explain the guards actions.

"Clan Head, He killed all the wolves including the Rank nine leader combined despite it being a joined attack" The guard replied in a shaky voice, clearly still shocked by what he had witnessed.

"Meaning, he ended up like this after that? No wonder"George finally understood.

"No clan Head, something happened" The guard paused at this point.

"Would you just tell me what happened already?" George started to grow impatient from the Guards behavior.

"He fought with a Rank One Xantian Beast" The guard finally let the cat loose. "What did you say?"

"Initially he was being beaten very badly but just when I was about to save him, his eyes turned golden, then as though he was possessed, he slew the beast in one strike. That's when he collapsed"The guard slowly explained what happened.

"What? Golden eyes? Slew a Xantian Beast with no cultivation?" George found it difficult to breath and now understood why the guard could not speak clearly initially.

"Make sure no one hears of this else he might be put in danger " Although excited he had such an amazing last born, George never forgot the presence of the royal family.

*Bang *Bang

Suddenly, an aura erupted from Kirk's sleeping body.

Rank one...

Rank two…..

Rank Three….

George felt shocked but relieved, seems like his son had benefited from what happened somehow. However, just as he was about to speak,

*Bang

Rank Four Houtian stage…..

This went on till he reached Rank Seven Houtian Stage.

George felt like he had seen a ghost. He had never seen or even heard of anyone going from no cultivation to Rank Seven Houtian in a day. Mostly, by age 12 most of the children would now be aiming for Rank Seven.

Kirk was still Seven years, coincidentally the same as his cultivation base. George felt really blessed. But he also knew this blessing would be accompanied by my hidden dangers, especially for his son.

Meanwhile, in the secret space, Kirk was thinking on how to leave, he tried everything , looking for strange words but nothing worked.

"I wish to leave here" Kirk muttered slowly. Suddenly, he felt his vision blur and he opened his eyes to see his dazed Dad and the guard watching him in shock.

"Erm Dad? , How did you find me?" Kirk did not expect to be out of the forest after coming out of the forest.

"Well, one of my guards happened to hear noise while passing by the inner are. Luckily he found you before anyone else could"George replied with a smile.

"Lucky me huh" Kirk did not take it to heart as it was quite a reasonable response.

"Erm son, how did you breakthrough like this all of a sudden" George could not hide his curiosity as it was abnormal to breakthrough so many stages at once at a go.

"I don't know, I guess it was because of the serious battle I went through, perhaps it helped me deal with cultivation challenges that was preventing me from cultivating." Kirk did not know how to respond hence had to make up a bullshit reason.

George knew his son was spouting bullshit but chose not to ask, after all everyone had his own secrets. At this point, he begun to smile warily. He was surprised his own son was on guard against even him with his secret. The also made him to understand how big the secret must be.

"Son, soon you would turn 12 then you'll be taking part in the academy entrance examination." George changed the topic.

"Dad, let us talk about it when the time comes, Right now, I want to focus on cultivation."Kirk knew this conversation would eventually come up.

He had two siblings. One was the elder brother he had dinner with after he was born. It was known that his brother was one of the best in his generation. There were even rumors that in two years time, his brother would be joining the Oscar Crimson Sect.

The Oscar Crimson sect is know as the second best sect in the entire of the Lunar Continent. One could only imagine what privilege it would be to have an offspring in such a sect.

Kirk on the other hand did not care about those sects. All he care about was cultivation. His reason was simple. The sect he joins would not be able to help him with his cultivation since he uses meditation and from past events, he could tell that he would not be getting access that those skills with ease.

Like this, Kirk immersed himself in cultivation. He wanted to explore the benefits brought to him by the Golden eyes as well as his new cultivation technique.

Day by day, year by year. In the blink of an eye, four more years went by. Kirk was eleven years now. He was sitting in the forest, a rank six Xantian beast came rushing at him at full speed.

*Bang *Bang

The beast could be seen lying down dead, however, it did not have any wounds

"Mmm, looks like my attacks are becoming more perfect" Kirk smiled lightly.

Over the past four years, Kirk surprisingly advanced only to the ninth rank of the Houtian stage. Despite this, he was quite satisfied. Only he knew how strong he currently was.

Although he has not fought or even seen any Establishment Stage expert, he was confident that even if he can't kill, a rank one Establishment expert cannot defeat him. Anyone below Rank five Establishment, he was sure he could escape from them if he was chased after.

This confidence came solely from training and not real life experience. Over the past four year, he realized he could decide the faith of most creatures below him in strength or spiritual strength.

All he had to do was to convey his thought while looking or imagining the person and the person was bound to obey him.

Just now, when the Rank Six Xantian Beast attacked, he just used his spiritual thought to let it kill itself via suicide. The beast as a result exploded it's inner core.

His biggest trump card over the past four years however is his golden eyes. Firstly, he could see things in a slower mode when he activates the golden eyes. He was also able to engage in soul attacks against his opponent. This method would completely erase the enemy's soul if used.

The most amazing part however, was that he could trap his enemies in an illusion. This could be used in sneak attacks and also escaping. How long he could trap the person depended on the strength of his enemy's spiritual sense.

"Haha, at this rate, next year I should be able to breakthrough to become a Xantian expert"Kirk smile softly as he spoke to himself.

"Yes silly boy, by then you would have to roam the world to seek avenues to grow stronger. Attending those so-called sects would not be of any help to you" Oldy seemingly out of nowhere appeared before Kirk.

"Yes, I have to first come up with an excuse to not attend the sect as my Dad would try to sway my intentions" Kirk looked bitter as he thought to this point.

"Haha, silly boy. You are still a child. Just tell him you want to roam the world. You are a child after all, with time, he would leave you to experience the world hopefully, you'll change your mind" Oldy slowly explained.

"Okay, I'll do as you say" Kirk said as he made his way to the house from the inner are of the forest.

"HELP!!!!! ANYBODY PLEASE HELP US!!"

Kirk was about to leave the inner region when suddenly he heard the screams of a girl. "Who is it who ventures to the inner area without sufficient protective measures or confidence"

Kirk forgot that four years ago, he nearly died as a result of everything he just said.

He made his way to where the noise came from. From afar, he could see a little girl who looked about twelve years old accompanied with two boys who looked about fourteen years each.

What surprised him however was the fact that they were all in uniform. Meaning they where students from a sect in his region.
