Somewhere in an unknown land, an old man bows before shining throne. The figure on the throne was soo bright that he could not be seen. If Kofi was here, he would remember this was the old man that he saw in his dream.
"Is it done" a loud voice boomed in the palace.
"Yes master, I have done what you asked me to do" the old man hurriedly replied
"Alright, the rest is up to him, how far he can go"
*AH *AH *AHH
A woman in labour kept on screaming as she panted for breadth.
"It would be over soon your highness, just a little bit more and he would be out" the voice of the doctor was heard amidst the yelling of the woman.
*AH *AH
It took about three hours for the noise to subside. What followed was the joy of seeing your child born into the world.
"Sorry Daddy couldn't be here okay, he would be back tomorrow, the king had a special mission for him okay" The young woman muttered softly to the new born baby slowly.
"Is this my new mother?" Kofi thought to himself while the young woman was staring affectionately at him.
At this moment however, Kofi could not imagine what his mother from earth could be going through. A sad look flashed his small cheeks unnoticed by the young lady.
The next morning,
*Bam *Bam *Bam
The door was open so fiercely that it was shocking. A handsome middle aged man walked into the room joy written all over his face.
"Sorry I was not around to help you through yesterday", "Oh hey there little one, I am your daddy, haha I'll protect you from now on even if it is the last thing I do."
The man was clearly very excited to be here.
"George, calm down okay, you didn't even ask how I am doing, hmph" the young lady retorted seemingly vexed.
"Come on Birdy, you know I was just kidding now , hehe" George made an awkward smile as he said.
The lady is called Winter, as for George calling her "Birdy", It is unknown why.
Kofi watched from the side with a small smile on his face as this is the first time in a long while he felt like he once more had a family. However, he was still scared deep down that he might be rejected here as well.
Like this one week went by. From what he had been hearing from the conversations of his father and mother, Kofi learnt that he was at a world called Lenux. And they where in a continent called Gaber. This continent was further divided into various regions. He was part of the Lunar region.
He also learnt that he was in a world of cultivators who could fly and slash the sun with a single sword. This all seemed so exciting for Kofi. He accepted this fact very easily as he was still a child and it was every child's joy to have superpowers.
It was at this point that Kofi remembered the words of the old man in his dream. He unconsciously closed his eyes trying to access what the old man had given him.
As though feeling his thought, the word "Faith" reacted to Kofi. Without him knowing, he had been sitting there for more than 6 hours staring at the word "Faith". He didn't get any understanding whatsoever but he felt something change within him. He just was not sure what it was.
"Kirk, what are you doing sitting there like that." Winter came in a realized Kofi's dazed face. However, he was barely 2 weeks old so she didn't take it seriously.
"Come, let's go and eat"
Winter carried Kofi to the the dinning table where George and another young boy was seated.
Kofi was named "Kirk" by George after he was born.
"Hey Kirk, that is your second Big Brother Wisdom, he hurried back from the academy once he heard that you were born."
Warmth filled Kofi's heart as he watched his elder brother as he could see genuine love in his big brother's eyes.
After dinner, Kofi having nothing to do as he was a baby ,plus it was late , just lied on his bed. Remembering the sensation from before, he focused his attention to the "Faith" word in his forehead.
Like this, time went by bit by bit. In a blink, it had been four years since Kofi was born into this world. Within this four years, Kofi had spent most of his time meditating on the "Faith" word.
After he was two years old, his parents realizing how smart he was starting giving him general knowledge books to read. Initially, this was to keep Kofi busy , but with time, they realized they had underestimated their son as he would finish reading everything and remember its content after less than a day.
"Our son is a genius!!" Winter exclaimed to George while they where alone in the room.
"I know, we have to give him the best tutoring we can give, as well as keeping his genius a secret for now to avoid unnecessary trouble.
"Mmm" Winter replied
When he was three years old, Kofi requested to learn more about cultivation, hence Robert, the best Knight in the castle was tasked to teaching him basic sword moves and principles.
This has been going on for more than a year now. Currently apart from meditating on the word "Faith" Kofi would go and train with the guards everyday per Roberts instructions.
"Look straight anytime you are attacking, be decisive and don't hesitate. The sword is sharp and moves to kill, don't forget that. It would rather break than bend"Robber's voice could be heard as Kofi was gasping for breadth on the floor in the training yard.
"Would rather break than bend, rather break than bend" Kofi muttered to himself as he slowly stood there holding the sword.
His training over the past year started to surface in his eyes, the more he remembered, the more unwilling he became. He refused to accept this. He has been training for a year now but aside his initial growth, he had not made any improvement in his training.
"I can do it, I have the ability to do it" Kofi confidently said beneath his breadth.
"Come at me all of you together!!"Kofi confidently said.
"Ah no young master, we cant do that. An accident may occur" One of the guards said worriedly.
"I said come at me all of you!!"
Seeing Robert just standing there watching everything without a word, the guards decided to do it since Robert is likely to save Kofi if things went south.
Brandishing their swords, they rushed towards Kofi not going easy at all.
"I can do this" Unknown to Kofi, the "Faith" mark begun to glow lightly as the took a stance to defend himself.
