Chapter 43 - Sophia and Ariella

After receiving our gold, Sophia and I take a long walk through the city, letting the cool evening air clear our minds. Sophia, especially, needs time to process everything. Eventually, we find ourselves at the Library of Vera's tranquil garden—arguably the most peaceful place in the city.

We settle on a wooden bench near the pond, where the water reflects the golden hues of the setting sun. Flowers of every color sway gently in the breeze, their petals catching the light. A few butterflies flit between them, their delicate wings shimmering like stained glass. The soft rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of birds create a calm, meditative atmosphere.

For a long time, neither of us speaks.

Then, Sophia breaks the silence.
