I awoke screaming. I couldn't remember anything; all I knew was that I was in a bed and next to me was a doll. She had a pale porcelain face, hazel brown eyes, raspberry red lips. She was beautiful. Her dress matched mine, it was covered in red roses, her bonnet was white with a lace trim. I loved her. She seemed familiar to me, but nothing else did. I didn't know where I was. I tried to remember my family, my mum, my dad, any siblings, grandparents, anyone. But nothing, I couldn't remember. I was lost in a room, it had primrose yellow walls and a bookshelf full of books on the floor there was clothes and teddy bears, it was then I realised I had no idea where I was. I screamed "help, help me. I need help. Someone any one please help me!"
After what seemed like years of screaming for help, I gave up no one was going to come. I lay down in the soft sheets and cried. I cried until I couldn't cry anymore, I wiped my eyes on the sheets and sat up. The doll hadn't moved. I picked her up and held her close to my chest. She was the only thing that felt familiar to me, the only thing that reminded me of home. I looked into her eyes and pulled off her bonnet to see her hair. I expected to see long flowing strands of gold, but instead I saw stumps. Stumps of gold. It looked as if her hair had been ripped out.
Suddenly, her mouth started to move. It looked like she was talking but I couldn't hear what she was saying so I held her up to my ear a heard and heard her whisper "ring-a-ring a-roses". I dropped her instantly shocked, scared. "a-pocket full of poses" she sung this time louder. I backed away from her and fell off the bed "a-tissue-a-tissue we all fall down" she sung louder again this time she got up and started moving towards me. "DEAD" she screamed as she launched herself at me. I felt her small hands clawing at my chest as she laughed psychotically. Her tiny hands started to dig deeper and deeper into my chest I screamed in pain as she broke my skin. "Stop" I yelled "you're hurting me". The only reply I got was laughter. She dug deeper and deeper until she ripped open my rib cage. She gauged out my heart and then said "night, night", as she held my beating heart in her hands, my deep red blood dripping between her fingers. That was the last thing I ever saw, ever heard, the metallic smell of blood will burn my nostrils forever.
