Chapter 14 - singing queen(2)

Rose walked to the front of the VIP section just as a song ended. She raised her head and called out to the stadium, "Do you like my song?"

"Yes!" the fans shouted wildly.

Rose vigorously waved at the fans, who energetically waved their glow sticks in return, as if they would never tire.

"For the next song, I want to invite someone from the audience to sing with me. What do you think?" Rose said, her eyes glancing at Alex. She felt a smug sense of satisfaction—humph, that day you drove off without saying a word; today, let's see where you can run.

"Yes!" everyone in the stadium shouted. Fans in the VIP section behind the front row stretched their hands towards the stage, shouting excitedly, "Me! Me!" Fans in the surrounding stands also reached towards the distant stage, screaming loudly.

Smiling, Rose walked towards Alex. His heart began to race as Rose approached. A spotlight shone on Alex, and Rose, standing before him, bowed gracefully. Alex smiled, stood up confidently, and walked hand in hand with Rose to the center of the stage. Kate, seeing Alex holding Rose's hand, wasn't angry but instead clapped with infatuation. The stadium resounded with screams, whistles, and cheers.

Though Alex felt exhilarated, his upbringing ensured he remained composed, holding Rose's soft hand as he stood in the spotlight. A natural aristocrat, Alex drew everyone's attention, his tall, graceful figure and noble demeanor captivating the entire audience, including Rose.

All eyes were on Alex as he took the microphone from a staff member and addressed the sixty thousand spectators with his magnetic voice, "I'm thrilled to be invited by Rose. Please give me some encouragement so that my tone-deaf singing can hit the right notes." The stadium erupted in laughter and cheers.

Rose glanced at Alex and said to the audience, "Together with this gentleman, I'll sing 'Endless Love.' I hope you all enjoy it."

The music began once more. Alex and Rose held hands, their eyes locking like lovers deeply in love. Alex raised his microphone, his dark eyes filled with tenderness, and his rich voice resonated throughout the stadium. Simultaneously, Rose's voice joined in, their harmonized singing creating a powerful, enchanting effect, stirring the hearts of everyone present. The audience stood up, waving their arms to the rhythm, singing along to the moving melody.

Hand in hand, Alex and Rose walked to the front of the stage. Their first touch seemed to establish a mutual understanding, a connection beyond just their hands, but of their hearts as well.

Kate, seated below, gazed at them with infatuation, waving her hands, tears streaming down her cheeks as if she were the one on stage.

The song ended, and the lights dimmed. A few seconds later, a spotlight illuminated Alex and Rose. Hand in hand, they gazed at each other, tears glistening in their eyes. The audience erupted in thunderous applause, their eyes moist with emotion. Alex and Rose bowed to the audience, and the applause continued for nearly two minutes.

In the midst of the ovation, Alex returned to the VIP section, only to have Kate throw herself into his arms. Tearful, she looked at Alex and said with adoration, "Alex, I will love you forever! Forever!"

Tears fell from Alex's eyes as he lowered his head to kiss Kate's forehead.

The spotlight shone on the embracing couple, inciting the audience's excitement once more as they chanted, "Endless love!"

Rose stood on stage, watching Alex and Kate. Tears streamed down her face. She felt a twinge of jealousy towards Kate but was deeply moved by their love. With a choked voice, she addressed the audience, "Let's give them another round of applause!"

Thunderous applause erupted once more. The audience, touched by true love, clapped fervently. Alex, holding Kate, returned to his seat, his emotions still unsettled. Love can move people, inspire sacrifice, and incite madness. It's not that the world lacks love, but that love among people is not always genuine. Alex took a handkerchief from his suit pocket, wiped his eyes, and gently wiped Kate's tears.

The music resumed on stage, and the crowd continued to cheer and scream. One hit song after another drove them to new heights of excitement.

The music stopped, and the stage lights dimmed. Rose gazed at the frenzied fans in the stadium and said, "My final song is 'Never Give Up.' I dedicate this song to someone who has helped me, someone who has touched my heart. I want to tell him that I will never give up. This song is also for every fan here—never give up on your love."

As the music began, Rose's eyes, filled with tender warmth, fixed on Alex in the VIP section. Her voice, imbued with deep affection, seemed to tell the story of a girl pursuing her true love, resolutely holding onto it no matter the challenges or sacrifices.

Alex sensed something in Rose's gaze but couldn't quite grasp it. His heart trembled—could she be singing for him? He shook his head slightly, smiling self-deprecatingly. Rose's fiery gaze never left Alex, and her song, her tears, and every movement seemed directed at him.

A venomous stare from the other end of the VIP section focused intently on Alex.

Just as the fans were immersed in the beautiful song, it abruptly ended. "Thank you, everyone!" Rose said to the fans.

"Rose! Don't go! We love you!" the fans cried out tearfully, some even sobbing uncontrollably.

Rose, looking at her passionate fans, wiped her tears and shouted, "I love you all too! Goodbye, my friends!"

The stage lights dimmed. The fans screamed and cried, reluctant to leave even as the lights remained off.

Alex, with a teary-eyed Kate in his arms, walked into the VIP passage. As soon as they exited, they were surrounded by a dozen people. The young man who had shouted "Rose, marry me!" at the concert stepped in front of Alex, glaring disdainfully. "Was your singing really that good? Sing another song for me."

"Why should I?" Alex asked calmly.

"Because I have more money and more people," the young man boasted.

Alex burst into laughter at his arrogant expression and signaled behind him. Fifty to sixty bodyguards waiting outside the VIP passage quickly surrounded the young man and his group. "It seems I have more people," Alex said with a smile.

With Kate in his arms, Alex walked past the arrogant young man, followed by a large entourage of bodyguards heading towards the parking lot. There's always someone causing trouble, but in his good mood today, Alex didn't bother to deal with him.

The young man, his face livid, watched the group leave and said venomously, "Just wait. I, Noah, will make you regret this."
