Noah's face twisted even more hideously as he watched Rose clinging to Alex's chest. In a fit of rage, he rushed toward Alex, shouting, "Alex, let go of Rose immediately, or you'll regret it!" Noah, blinded by fury, failed to see the obvious: Rose was the one holding onto Alex.
Alex spread his hands and said helplessly to Noah, "Mr. Noah, my hands aren't even touching Rose. Why are you so angry?"
Noah's mouth opened and closed, unable to find words. After a moment, he gently said to Rose, who was in Alex's arms, "Rose, if you want to hold someone, hold me. My chest is much warmer than his." The staff and security guards in the lobby burst into laughter, thinking, "Does this guy not understand that being in the arms of one's beloved is different from being in his arms?"
Seeing everyone laughing, Noah angrily shouted, "What are you laughing at? Anyone who's lain on my chest knows how warm it is and how they can't resist it."
Everyone around laughed even harder, including Noah's bodyguards, who tried to suppress their laughter but ended up with flushed faces. They finally saw the epitome of misplaced confidence. Noah, puzzled by the laughter, thought, "I'm telling the truth. Why are they laughing?" He then seriously declared, "I'm not lying. Everything I said is true."
Noah's bodyguards could no longer hold back and burst into laughter. Others were already doubled over. Rose, clinging to Alex, laughed so hard she went limp, completely leaning on Alex.
Alex, amused by Noah, smiled and said teasingly, "Mr. Noah, I concede to your prowess in that area, but it seems Rose isn't interested in your charming chest. You should give up and stop following Rose around like a shadow."
Realizing he had become a laughingstock, Noah, humiliated and angry, yelled at Alex, "How dare you mock me and hold onto my woman! I'll make you pay today." He lunged at Alex with a raised fist. Though Noah knew Alex was skilled, he thought he had an advantage with Rose clinging to Alex.
Alex, with a relaxed smile, watched Noah's fist approach. To him, Noah's punch felt as soft as a pillow. Just before it reached his face, Alex, with one arm around Rose's waist, slightly shifted and kicked Noah in the chest. Noah, thinking he was about to land his punch, suddenly felt a crushing force on his chest. The sound of cracking bones filled his ears as he flew backward, pain radiating from his chest throughout his body.
"Ah!" Noah screamed as he hit the ground five meters away, writhing in pain. Alex had only intended to teach Noah a lesson, so he held back his strength, merely breaking a few ribs. Noah's bodyguards, seeing their master injured, charged forward in fury.
Alex, still holding Rose, disdainfully eyed the approaching bodyguards. As they neared, his free arm moved like lightning. The first bodyguard felt his wrist being seized and then heard the snap of breaking bones.
Everyone in the lobby watched Alex's arm blur as he struck. The sound of breaking bones and cries of pain echoed. Alex's arm dropped back to his side, leaving thirty bodyguards writhing on the ground, each clutching a broken limb.
The spectators were stunned, including a few foreigners who, excited, gave Alex a thumbs-up and said in broken Chinese, "Oh, Chinese kung fu, very good!" They eagerly took photos with Alex, missing only an autograph.
Rose, still in Alex's arms, laughed and said, "You're more famous than I am now. My influence only reaches Asia, but you've already captivated Europeans."
Alex chuckled and replied, "This is nothing. Someday, I'll be famous worldwide. Now, superstar, can you let go? You're not tired, but my waist is getting sore."
Rose blushed, stepped back, and retorted, "I don't want to stay in your arms either."
Relieved that Rose finally released him, Alex awkwardly smiled at her and then approached Noah, who lay groaning on the floor. "This is a lesson. Go back to XG and rest for a few months. Stop harassing Rose. If I find out you're bothering her again, I'll break every bone in your body."
Noah, unable to speak due to the pain, glared at Alex with eyes full of hatred. His silence only deepened his grudge against Alex.
Rose gently tugged on Alex's arm and whispered, "Let's leave him alone. Come to my room; I have something to tell you before I leave H City tomorrow."
Alex glanced at Noah and nodded at Rose. Together, they walked to the elevator. Meanwhile, hotel security and newly arrived police officers attended to the injured. Captain Li Gang, seeing the chaos, sternly said, "Who dared to cause such a commotion in a hotel, injuring so many people in front of foreign guests? Do they think they can ignore the law?"
Rose's agent Tess approached and whispered, "These people surrounded Rose, but Alex injured them all."
Upon hearing that it was Alex, Li Gang immediately softened and said to the officers beside him, "Send them to the hospital. We're done here. Everyone, let's wrap it up."
In Rose's room, Alex looked around for a moment and said with a smile, "This place is quite nice. If I have the chance, I'd love to stay here with you for a few days."
Alex's casual remark made Rose's heart race. Blushing, she said, "As long as you like, I can come here anytime to keep you company."
Seeing Rose's expression, Alex realized she had misunderstood his words. He wanted to explain but couldn't find the right words. Rose cast a charming glance at him and softly said, "I'll take a shower first. Make yourself comfortable; I'll be out soon." With that, she walked into the bathroom and, before closing the door, gave Alex a mesmerizing look with her large, enchanting eyes.
Sweat began to bead on Alex's forehead. That one glance from Rose made his heart skip a beat. He thought, "Why is she taking a shower in the middle of the afternoon? What is she planning? Does she...want me?" The thought made his heart race even more.
Alex, lost in thought, stood there nervously rubbing his hands. Various scandals from the entertainment world flashed through his mind. Just then, Rose's melodious voice came from the bathroom, "Alex, I forgot my towel. Could you get it for me?"
Alex's heart skipped a beat, and he said with a pained expression, "Can't you do without the towel? I don't know where it is."
"How can you not find it? There's a towel hanging beside the bathroom door. I saw it when I went in," Rose called out loudly. After saying that, she realized it might have sounded a bit off, but she didn't dwell on it. She turned off the faucet and listened intently to the sounds outside the bathroom.
Hearing Rose's words, Alex thought, "Oh my, you saw it but didn't take it. You want me to hand it to you—you're clearly tempting me."
With great difficulty, Alex took step after step toward the towel hanging by the bathroom door. Inside, Rose held her breath, listening to Alex's footsteps with a surge of excitement. In movie scripts, women often tempted men this way. She wondered if she would succeed this time.
