Maya had been running for quite a while now, she ran until she was sure no one was after her.
"They must have mounted check points so leaving the city now is impossible."She muttered as she sat in a dark alley way somewhere in the slummy ghettos downtown.
She knew her parents well and knew their modus operandi, she had witnessed the extermination of the demoniacs and was present when they had made the monotheistic declaration, basically proclaiming freedom of religion void in the city. They were probably going to lockdown the city then do a thorough sweep in search for her.
'Where can I fucking hide from them?'
"Yes!! I got it, I'll hide at the temple of eternal love." She said out loud.
She knew the temple was the least likely place her parents would search when looking for her.
She decided to head there and reached into her hood but shook her head in realization.
"I must have lost my phone whilst running." She thought, but it was good too as there was a high possiblity it would be tracked.
When it came to the church her parents were like puppets, putting the will of 'God' before their personal desires, she knew they didn't want this but they had no choice, lost in their fanatism they could only do as told.
As she roamed through the dark alleys, she felt lost inside, her only solace was that at least she was free, even though a fugitive in her own city she was free.
Wiping her eyes she smiled, ready to make the best of her new found life, she had resolve to be free.
As she wandered about, she finally stumbled upon the dark gloomy walls of the temple.
'So this is how the temple has become.' She thought trying to compare the temple in her memory of the extermination and the one now.
The neglect was visible. Peeling paint and creaking roof all spoke of the abandonment the temple had suffered in recent years.
A great change was going to occur in the world, she didn't know how but she just had the intuition.
She pushed open the heavy doors as she stepped in.
"So this is going to be my new home." She muttered as her fast brain plotted on food supply.
She looked around the place in awe, exploring from room to halls to wash rooms and chapels.
'What a beautiful place.' She opened the door to what seemed to be the master bedroom, she walked in and hoped on the bed fatigue overtaking her as she was soon drawn to the dream world, an awfully familiar scent giving her a sense of comfort.

Von spent the rest of the day with Johan and peanut before deciding to head home.
He had had a fun day he thought being frank with himself, he had played different types of games with Johan and surprisingly peanut. He had gotten a cell phone and also learnt a lot of new technological knowledge.
'Being human was in many ways quite fulfilling.' He thought.
He could access some of his former perks but without the boring nature of things, a demon's life entailed only excitement and wrath, some mischief here and there but not as vibrant as a humans.
Humans were the most simple beings but they were also the money St complex, that is they were physically basic but emotionally complex.
Upon reaching home, he found himself drained and mentally exhausted. He had went through a lot in such little time.
He got to the bed and just threw himself on it, oblivious of the other occupant.
As they slept, unbeknownst to them the city was being thoroughly swept by armed men in white, men who moved past the temple not even giving it a second thought due to their repulsion towards it.
Men who were unaware that both of the targets were in there.
