I had been summoned by a human ritual. I knew the right thing to do was to decline but I had been hearing tales of exploits from the human realm.
I couldn't control the impulse and I agreed to the summon. A connection was swiftly established and I found myself drawn into a portal. My vision went blank for a while as I experienced a feeling of vertigo.
After gaining my bearings, I was too excited to observe my surroundings. I was finally here the legendary human realm. It was no longer hearsay but I was now living tale.
Lost in the peak of excitement - an emotion demons had in abundance, I didn't notice my powers we're not working until I decided to take off in flight.
I couldn't fly. It was then I felt that something was amiss. Something must have went wrong with the summons I thought, but looking around I saw humans gathered densely around a barrier with looks of sheer wonder and curiosity on their faces .
The man up front whom I presumed was the leader began to speak.
"Behold, I, Sysephus the great have now proven my abilities."
"Be amazed by the wonderful creature I have summoned, a demon!" He shouted.
The crowds erupted in a wave of cheering and oh what a great charivari it was that one would think a thousand imps had banded together.
After my initial shock, I now knew fully well that something wasn't right. I tried moving but apart from my neck the rest of my body was as stiff as a gargoyle. I looked down and find myself Standing in a magic circle.
It dawned on me, I had been captured. I felt the urge to cry, to scream. I found myself wishing for the elders.
The man, Sysephus continued his ravings and soon turned to me.
"Yield my command, oh foul beast, for I am thy summoner. The fate of your life rests upon my hands."
Tanatras knows what I have gotten myself into. I blinked back tears of despair as it had been taught to me not to shed a tear even in the face of death. I decided to do something insane. I stimulated my blood.
The stimulation of royal blood would send all demons in the vicinity into a rampage, but it would also alert other royals, demon or not. It was a desperate situation so I decided to take the risk.
As the blood in my body was stimulated, black lines like veins started to creep all over me. A wave of pulsating shadows, so dark it seemed to be absorbing the light around, spread out from my heart to the surrounding.
The man froze and his eyes turned black for a second. He panicked and screamed,
"Run for ye lives, 'tis a royal being of its kind!!"
Pandemonium broke out. Screams were heard here and there, the humans ran helter skelter and the possessed ones Spasmed.
I couldn't withstand the toll my bloodline stimulation gave my body and passed out shortly after.
