Amy Smith, the FML is a Chinese American; Chinese mother and American father; is a doctor by profession. It's another thing that she has never been to China before but yeah she has her fair share of Chinese films or dramas. Her mother Mrs. Smith was the second wife of Mr. Smith, he married her after his first wife died from a heart attack; he had a daughter named Charlotte from his first wife. So like after a year he married the current Mrs. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Smith died in an accident two years ago. Amy was having a hard time coping without her parents around even though she was working, she always got distracted.

One unfortunate day, as she was crossing the road she got in an accident....BOOM!!

Later, when she opened her eyes she was reincarnated into the "Ancient Chinese Era".
