Chapter 6 - Chapter#06

Early in the morning, Mother Li walked into Li Hua's room to get her ready for the palace just to stop at the entrance she found her ever so lively daughter sitting on a chair lost somewhere with a worried look. Mother Li gently knocked at the door and entered asking, "What happened?"

Li Hua just sighed.

"Are you worried about going to the palace with your Father?" Mother Li asked again.

Li Hua looked at her mother and said, "Hmm."

"Mother can't you just make some excuse, I don't want to go the palace."

Mother Li asked her, "Darling If you won't tell your mother the reason how would I think about what to do, Xiao Hua won't you tell your mother?"

Mother Li waited patiently. Li Hua took a deep breath and started speaking, " Mother I heard when you were talking with Father about the palace, I am scared what if someone bullies me there because I can't play like other children." She had tears in her eyes.

Mother Li wiped her tears hurriedly and hugged her daughter, " Xiao Hua listen to your mother, first of all, you are very much like other children, you are not different, okay."

She detached herself and made Xiao Hua look at her and firmly said, "You are not different, you just have a special condition."

Xiao Hua reluctantly nodded. Mother Li wiped her tears and said, "Now let's just get you ready."

As Mother Li was combing Li Hua's hair, she was continuously encouraging her.

"Breakfast has been served Mistress, my Lady." Xiao Qing knocked on the door.

After having breakfast Father Li grabbed Li Hua's hand gently and helped her into the carriage. When they settled down Father Li lovingly patted her head and they started their journey towards the palace. Even though the distance between the palace and Li's mansion was not much, it felt like an eternity. Just when Li Hua was about to complain the carriage stopped and Father Li stood and gave his hand to Li Hua, She took it and stepped out of the carriage. She was astonished seeing the grand palace. Father Li held her hand and started walking towards a huge building with stairs.

"Prime Minister Li Qian arrived!" A guard announced.

Wherever she looked everything was grand as she heard about it. She looked dazed that she didn't know that her father was calling her, "Li Hua! Li Hua! Greet his majesty."

Li Hua looked where his father pointed there sat a middle-aged man on a golden chair. She immediately kowtowed and said, "Long live his majesty."

The emperor delightedly smiled looking at her and said, "Good! Good! Li Qian, you taught her well."
