Once upon a time there was a bunny.
Now, this was no ordinary bunny, this bunny was pink with long skinny arms and long skinny legs. This bunny had long floppy ears and I think that was how he got his name. His name was "Floppy Ears".
Floppy Ears and his sister Sunshine Bunny were beyond excited as they arrived at the beach with their mom. They had been waiting for weeks for this special day, and it was finally here.
As they set up their towels and beach umbrella, Floppy Ears' mom handed them each a bucket and shovel. "Today, we're going to build the best sand castles ever!" she exclaimed.
Floppy Ears and Sunshine Bunny got to work, digging and building with all their might. They created towers, moats, and even a dragon to guard the castle. Floppy Ears' mom helped them add some finishing touches, and soon they had a masterpiece.
After they finished their castles, Floppy Ears' mom suggested they take a break and go for a swim. The water was warm and inviting, and Floppy Ears loved splashing around with his sister. They chased each other through the waves, laughing and playing until they were both tired out.
When they got out of the water, Floppy Ears' mom handed them each a slice of juicy watermelon. "This will help us stay cool and refreshed," she said. Floppy Ears and Sunshine Bunny loved the sweet taste of the watermelon and enjoyed their snack.
As they sat in the sun, enjoying their snack, Floppy Ears' mom reminded them to reapply their sunscreen. "Remember, we need to protect our skin from the sun's strong rays," she said.
Floppy Ears and Sunshine Bunny looked at each other uncertainly. "Why do we need to do that?" Floppy Ears asked.
His mom explained that the sun's UV rays could cause painful sunburns and even skin cancer if they weren't careful. "We need to put sunscreen on our skin every two hours or after we swim," she said.
Floppy Ears and Sunshine Bunny nodded eagerly, eager to learn more about taking care of their skin. Their mom helped them apply more sunscreen, making sure they got all the spots they needed.
As the day drew to a close, Floppy Ears and Sunshine Bunny reluctantly packed up their things and headed home. They were tired but happy, with big smiles on their faces.
"Best day ever!" Floppy Ears exclaimed as they walked away from the beach.
His mom smiled, knowing that her little ones had learned an important lesson about sun safety. "I'm so glad you guys had a great time," she said. "And remember, always take care of your skin!"
