3 weeks have passed and max and the others were training there asses off and they grew in terms bond and trust but today Miguel called them to the basketball ball field.
Miguel: sorry for interrupting your training today but today I want you to meet your seniors.
Ken: really why?
Miguel: Thomas and me saw that you guys were anxious and worried that you will get crushed luckily for us they are free so they are coming here to meet you guys.
Max: but it wouldn't be fair because if we get to know them it will give some insight on how they act.
Miguel: remember this a training event not a competition to be the best in work of exorcist it doesn't matter if you are the strongest or the most talented if they can work together with others then they have a high risk of survival lost souls are unpredictable and one you might die so Evelyn made this training program so that starters and seniors can learn from each other.

Right then Jonathan walked in the basketball court.

The rookies were a little nervous at meeting there seniors and when they saw them coming into the basketball they felt as if they we're in the presence of their mentors just a little more on their level and they were in pairs 4 guys and 4 girl.
Miguel: introduce yourselfs to them.
Orange haired: it's nice to meet the new guys I'm ryu sakura I'm from Japan but I moved here to learn from the best.
Black haired: hey my name Jason Garcia I'm a shadow ability user.
Blue eyed: I'm Noah frost.
Black in suit: my name Henry Mathew it's nice to meet you all.
Red haired: hey there names Terra banners nice to meet you all.
Blue short girl: I'm bertha frost I'm Noah's little sister.
Girl with black marks: I'm Cassie shinama I'm half Japanese.
White haired girl: I'm Gwen connors I'm pretty sure you all meet my muscle head of a dad.
Jonathan: Gwen is just joking you know she in her rebellious state heh heh.
Gwen just ignored her father.
Max: so you are our seniors?

Jason extended his hand for a hand shake and max took it and shook it.
Peter: not gonna lie they are pretty chill I'm just glad that our seniors aren't psychos.

Ryu got close Peter and was looking at him with a calculated look and Peter saw how tall ryu was compared to him.

Peter blinked a few time all he can say was.

Jason: ryu you are making him uncomfortable.
Ryu: mmm?
Jason: you know that you just meet him right?
Ryu: I'm aware I'm just saying that this guy and me are going to be brothers.
Jason: ryu I'm going to regret asking this but exactly did the fortune teller told you.
Ryu: oh she told me that I will meet a partner with red hair and he was male.
Peter/jason/max: he actually believed that?
While the teens were talking Miguel and Jonathan were outside.
Jonathan: why did you ask to talk in private?
Miguel: what was that with your daughter?
Jonathan: what? I told you she is her rebellious state it's nothing.
Miguel wasn't buying that bullshit he could tell that wasn't just a rebellious teenager situation.
Miguel: look can see right through whatever you are trying to say just know that you need to do something about it my advice be more a father than a fighter.
Miguel walked away from Jonathan who looked at him like with an empty look until he touched his forehead in tiredness.

Back in the basketball court Miguel decided to explain somethings
Miguel: since the training event is next month and since you don't have 8 one of the seniors will need to step out to make the numbers even.
Miguel turned to the seniors.
Miguel: now which one of you want to drop out if you do you will watch the fights with us supervisors.
Gwen was the only one who raised who raised her hand.
Gwen: I will.
Miguel: you sure?
Gwen: I'm sertant
Miguel: well if you say so
The rookie exorcist noticed how Gwen seemed to not like Jonathan but they didn't know what was going.
The day went by and they seniors had to go back to there own dormitory which was a private residence that they lived in.
While the rookie went to there dorm many of them were wondering about the Connors
Peter: hey dude what do you think that was all about?
Max: no clue but honestly I don't think it's good.
Sonia: tell me about it my parents threw me into the streets because I wasn't there perfect little girl but still that was not normal.
They all got into there rooms and went to sleep however for a sertant connors he was in his home his wife said he had some work to do so he was alone but to his bad luck being alone was the last thing he needed.
He got out his phone and he looked at a phone of him and his wife Lucia and Gwen when she was a baby that was his happiness day and one he holds dear.
But now he just felt like his girl was growing too fast and he felt lonely.
Jonathan: Lucia I really wish you were here right now.
