In a building that appeared to be a bar from the outside, gathered inside were 10 individuals. They were members of the Red Sword guild who were preparing to depart for Vorvor village after receiving a mission from the village there.
Vorvor village was a small village located somewhat south of the city of Anvel. Despite being a small village, Vorvor was known for its wealth and prosperity.
Situated near an iron mine, it was a vital resource hub for crafting various warrior equipment.
Inside the Red Sword Guild building, in a corner of the room, stood a young man with red hair and a small child. They stood slightly apart from the rest of the group. These two were Alexander and his partner, Skeba.
They had arrived early in the morning. Alexander's role would be to carry the supplies for the warriors.
Among the supplies were various items needed for battling Bivorch, such as healing potions and mana potions, as well as some weaponry like daggers and swords.
Although the group already had a warrior healer, there were limitations to how much they could heal. Hence, they needed to bring healing potions and mana potions for the warrior mages.
In addition to being a carrier, Alexander would also be responsible for extracting mana crystals from the bodies of defeated Bivorch and transporting them.
Mana crystals were highly sought-after as they were the primary source of energy used by humans. They were also used in crafting equipment for mages.
Some high-level mana crystals were even used in creating potions to stimulate the potential of warriors to reach their limits.
However, no matter how potent the potion is, it cannot turn someone with an E-class talent into a true Rank 1 Warrior. They could only help a warrior reach their maximum potential based on their inherent talent.
After around 11 people had gathered, including Alexander, a man with black hair and green eyes who appeared to be in his forties, stepped forward.
He was the leader of this mission.
"Attention everyone, today we embark on a mission with a considerable reward. Our mission is to defeat a group of low-ranking Bivorch that have begun to invade Vorvor village. As you all know and have prepared for, let us depart immediately."
After the mission leader finished speaking, the members who were going on the mission proceeded to walk towards the carriage.
"Hey Alex," a soft voice greeted Alexander as he went to fetch a rather large bag.
"Hi Anna."
"Who's that beside you, Alex?" Anna glanced at Skeba, who was wearing a black robe and standing next to Alexander.
"Oh, H-he's a friend of mine; his name is Skeba," Alexander replied nervously, forcing a smile.
"Ah, I see. Well, I hope our mission goes smoothly."
"I hope so too. Excuse me, Anna, I have to attend to my duties." Alexander quickly ended their conversation; he didn't want to get involved in any trouble for now.
Among the group going on the mission, one member was Barnes. Alexander was afraid that if Barnes saw them talking, he would be beaten up again.
Alexander then proceeded to carry out his task as a carrier, receiving a fairly large bag that he had to guard.
He stayed in the baggage carriage, unlike the core members of the mission, who were in a separate passenger carriage.
The carriage departed early in the morning, leaving the city of Anvel and heading towards Vorvor village.
The journey from Anvel to Vorvor took five days under normal circumstances, without any setbacks or issues along the way.
During the journey, the group only rested once each day, at night. After five days of travel, they arrived at Vorvor village, which seemed slightly larger than the average village.
Upon arrival, instead of going to the village, the group headed towards the area where the Bivorch were.
They arrived at an area near the mine where the Bivorch were gathering. Their numbers this time amounted to hundreds.
"Let's go; follow the usual strategy!" The mission leader instructed them to move out.
Among the 10 members on the mission, 3 were warrior tanks, 3 were warrior assassins, 2 were warrior mages, and there was 1 warrior support and 1 warrior healer.
After giving instructions, the tankers immediately took the front line, followed by the warrior assassins. At the back for long-range attacks were the warrior mages, and at the very rear were the warrior support and the warrior healer.
Alexander and Skeba stayed a bit further back. Alexander had no intention of getting involved in the battle between the warriors and the Bivorch.
"Attack!"
The mission leader ordered the assault.
The warrior support chanted a buff spell to all members except the warrior healer, boosting their stats.
The frontline warrior tanks immediately surged forward towards a group of Bivorch.
"Bam!"
"Bam!"
They delivered blows to the bivorch while simultaneously defending themselves.
"Slash!"
"Slash!"
The warrior assassins weren't idle; they swiftly launched attacks, targeting the weak points of the Bivorch located in their hearts.
The warrior mages at the rear also didn't want to be left behind. They quickly chanted their spells and attacked the cluster of bivorches located behind.
"Boom!"
"Krraaack!"
The Bivorches in the rear were attacked by the warrior mage with a fireball and a lightning spell.
The battle then ensued, with the warriors dominating.
"We need healing potions and mana restoration potions!" shouted the mission leader.
Hearing this, Alexander quickly stepped forward, carrying the necessary supplies. Afterward, he retreated from the battlefield as quickly as possible.
After all, he was just a ordinary human and didn't want to get too close to the fighting.
Before long, the large group of Bivorch had dwindled down to just a few, and they quickly fled.
The mission ended smoothly this time, fortunately without any other interfering variables.
Most of the Bivorch encountered were at level zero, with a few at level one. This made the mission run smoothly, but if there had been any level two Bivorch, it would have posed a challenge.
However, the team consisted only of Rank 1 Warriors, with only the mission leader being a Rank 2 Warrior.
