Where the hell was I and why was the sky RED?!
I beheld the view around me it had a bit of mysticism and beauty to it but one couldn't deny how deadly beautiful the place was deadly beautiful the definition of a captivating rose, adorned with its prickly armour.
As I slowly blinked my eyes open, I was in a room bathed in a soft, ethereal light. The walls were adorned with tapestries depicting scenes of ancient battles and mythical creatures, while the floor was covered in plush carpets that whispered beneath my feet.
At the far end of the room stood a figure cloaked in shadows, his presence commanding and enigmatic. My heart skipped a beat as I realized the person in front of me could pose a threat but yet again he didn't seem the type to attack its prey in such a simple manner but in a way to make them fall to their knees begging in pain.
His piercing gaze bore into me, seeming to penetrate the very depths of my soul. With a voice like rolling thunder, he spoke, each word laden with weight and authority.
"Welcome, young one," he intoned, his voice echoing off the walls of the chamber. "I am headmaster Hemlock and I suppose you are Ms. Thistle aren't you, congratulations you have been chosen to attend the prestigious Stygian Sanctum Academy here in the demon world as the first human ever, don't worry it's just for one year"
Estelle's mind raced as she struggled to comprehend the gravity of the situation. What the hell is this person talking about?
"Haha I think it's a misunderstanding, I didn't agree to any of this, so please find another human who could do all of this stuff..."
I think I'm dreaming and everything will be just fine, I think I should go back to sleep and call it a day.
"I never choose wrong Ms. Thistle, you are very fit for this program, classes start as soon as possible and Azrael will be your guide for the year in this school, behave well in front of him he doesn't hesitate to bite but you'll be all right and for the record, this is not a dream."
The smiling bastard said as he put on a 'happy' face, I suppose that would make me feel better. Well, I suppose if I'm called into this school I Should make the best of it, since opportunities like this don't usually happen.
"Where is this Azra you speak of?"
"Azrael.. our guest is here!" he called out to no one in the room I suppose someone is a tad bit crazy
Out of nowhere, a guy appeared in front of me, he looked a bit older not as the headmaster though but mature enough exuding a great dark aura. He had an aura of confident elegance. His attire, a tailored suit in a rich shade of charcoal grey with a school badge on his left breast on the suit initials SS, fits him impeccably, accentuating his lean frame and hinting at the strength beneath. His posture is relaxed yet poised, exuding an air of sophistication and self-assurance.
His features are striking, with sharp cheekbones and a well-defined jawline. His eyes, a deep shade of crimson red, hold a glint of intelligence and warmth, drawing you in with their magnetic gaze. His black hair is neatly styled, adding to his polished appearance.
There's a subtle intensity about him, a sense of determination and purpose that is palpable even in a still image. He carries himself with quiet confidence as if he knows exactly who he is and where he's going.
"Good evening my lady, you'll be in my care for the whole year I hope we get to know each other well," The guy said to me his eyes gazing at me intently as his voice was luring me like a snake as he kissed my knuckles his soft lips imprinting themselves on me
What is happening?!
"It's Azrael, not Azra, I heard the whole conversation"
"Azrael don't start scaring the human yet now, she's still new"
I gulped a huge drop of saliva as if that would help
"Oh and one last thing Ms. Thistle, you are the only human in the demon realm I trust you'll be on your best behaviour and try to stay alive."
The headmaster said as he mysteriously vanished that bastard, dropping me a bomb, the hell is wrong with me.
"I suppose you're a demon too?" I asked my supposed guide
"Yes umm... Ms. Thistle, I suppose you wouldn't mind if my brother took care of you, you see I'm a busy man and I don't have time to waste on weak humans, I suppose he can handle you"
"Wait weak..and you are planning to abandon me right after the headmaster left"
"I don't like it when someone speaks like that to me, you will do as I say, there is nothing the headmaster will do to me, if you don't want my brother to be in charge of you I guess you will be a delicious meal to rogue demons, you would make quite a delicious snack." he preyed me evilly as he was nearing me dangerously close, as he turned to leave
"NO Wait, please don't go, I'll agree to your plans" It was so out of me to beg but I had no choice I did not want to be a snack and he seemed like the safe option I had
"Great, you're such an obedient girl," he said as he patted my hair, DAMN you Azra
"Xavian get here as fast as possible" Like the headmaster, he called out toward nothing and another person appeared in front of me.
Before me was a man who held such charm and grace, he had a striking white messy bedhead which was tousled and unkempt and appeared effortlessly sexy and casual, with strands falling across the forehead and framing the face.
It looked like white feathers and soft as marshmallows and such lovely catlike golden eyes which seemed to have a bit of mischief to them. He seemed to be wearing the same suit as his brothers.
"What is it this time Azrael I was in the middle of a nap and you ruined it?"
"Xavian meet Ms Thistle, the human which we were expecting, I have a little task for you"
He turned around to look at me as if realising there was another person, he showed no reaction on his face
"What do I have to do with this human?" he asked annoyed, how rude!
"Good question, she is under your care now," he said evilly
"Oh, That's alright...Wait a minute WHAT!, I didn't agree to all of this." he looked panicked as he kept glancing back and forth between me and Azra or was it Azril...his name is kinda hard for me
"You will do as I say no ifs and buts, you must guide her and protect her from harm"
"Since when did I ever become someone's babysitter"
"Ahem, I still exist"
"Since now, you will be her babysitter and if you don't obey me there will be dire consequences dear B-r-o-t-h-er" he spelt out each word with malicious intent, Xavian looked pale as if remembering something from the past
"Alright, just this once but it doesn't mean I'm scared of you Azrael," he said in a defeated tone
"I knew you were right for the job," he said as if he had accomplished something great," I'll see you all tonight " he disappeared in thin air
It was just Xavian with me, he glanced at me with a face that said you are the cause of this
I raised my hands in defence," I didn't sign up for all of this so you know"
He let out a long sigh, "Follow me human"
What a great start to Stygian Sanctum Academy, I will have a perfect stay here!
