"Three hundred years ago, during the Autinium War, there were seven stones. These were not ordinary stones; they granted stronger magic to those who possessed them. That's why the Lightanders' lord wanted them. However, the stones were not meant for the Lightanders, who were evil. They started the war but also faced consequences afterward."
"Ravenwood, leave the stone before it costs all our lives!" his friend screamed.
"But if the Dark Lord gets it, the world would be doomed!" Ravenwood screamed back.
His friend replied urgently, "Then that's true. Get the stones and run as fast as you can!"
Back in the present, Thorn again grabbed Evander and pushed him against the wall. Evander rolled his eyes and asked, "What do you want?"
Thorn screamed, "LEAVE MY FRIENDS ALONE NEXT TIME!"
Evander rolled his eyes again and replied, "First of all, I have no idea what you're talking about. Second of all, she started talking to me."
Thorn, growing angrier, suddenly threw Evander to the ground. Professor Nightshade arrived just in time and sternly said, "Thorn, we do not accept such violence. Detention for one week!"
Thorn walked towards the Hall of Feast and sat down at the table. Evander winked at him and laughed, making Thorn even angrier. Athena snapped him out of his stare by asking, "Why did you get detention?"
Thorn, surprised, asked, "How do you know?"
Felix answered, "We heard Professor Nightshade screaming at you."
Thorn said a little too loudly, "If Frost just wasn't here at school, it would make everything better."
At that moment, Evander stood up and walked toward Felix's table, smirking. "Well, well, if it isn't Evernight. Did you already miss me?"
Thorn crossed his arms and snapped, "No! Never."
Evander smirked, "Well, I think you did, because you kinda talked about me. If you want to talk, we can talk." He moved closer to Thorn's face and added, "What do you think about that idea?"
In a flash of anger, Thorn stood up and slapped him. Evander's friends looked terrified, as if they'd never seen him slapped by anyone before.
Evander did nothing and walked away, leaving everyone whispering. It was unusual for him not to retaliate, as he was often known for getting expelled for his actions. Melody ran to Evander and asked, "Are you okay?"
Evander didn't respond verbally. Instead, he sat down, rested his head on Melody's lap, and began to cry.
The time travel guy woke up and exclaimed, "What in the bloody walls is happening here? Where am I? Who are you people, and what do you want from me?"
He grabbed a sword and pointed it at a professor. She stammered, "We... we..." Struggling to find her words due to her nervousness, she finally managed to say, "We are professors of Shadowcrest Academy."
"The time travel guy exclaimed, "That's impossible! Liars! I was just fighting the Dark Lord, and we all saw he was the new headmaster of Shadowcrest."
Professor Nightshade intervened, stating calmly, "We are from the future."
The time travel guy shouted, "Liars! Who sent you on a quest to kill me?" He clenched his jaw and glared at the professors with anger.
Professor Mirandle, sensing the tension, asked, "Who speaks Old English?" When none of the professors responded, she sighed and said, "Yeah, I thought so. We need to get Mr. Frost here; he probably speaks it."
Professor Nightshade nodded in agreement, adding, "Judging by how he already seems to know who this strange man is, probably, yes."
Professor Nightshade teleported Evander to the healer's room and requested, "Please, can you talk to him in Old English?"
Evander replied, "Sure, but why?"
Professor Mirandle explained, "Because we sort of can't communicate with him."
Evander chuckled and said, "But aren't you guys like 400 years old?"
Professor Nightshade glared at him and replied sternly, "We are not 400 years old."
Evander then greeted the man, saying, "Good morrow."
The man responded, "Gōdne dæg."
After a lengthy explanation, Evander turned to the professors and said, "Well, I first said 'good day,' and he responded with 'good day' back. Then he asked, 'What do you guys want from me, evil pricks?' I replied that we are from the future and on the good side. But good luck convincing him we're on the good side—he doesn't believe us."
Professor Nightshade sighed and explained to Evander, "Thank you, but, uhm, you have to share a room with Thorn."
Confused, Evander asked, "Who is Thorn?"
Professor Nightshade clarified, "He is Mr. Evernight."
Evander screamed in disbelief, "Professor, you can't be serious! My father bought me a dorm for myself!"
Professor Nightshade replied apologetically, "Yes, but I talked with your father about this. I'm sorry, but you have to share the room with Mr. Evernight."
Evander stormed out of the room in anger. Professor Nightshade sighed and turned to Professor Mirandel, asking, "Did I just make a wrong decision?"
Mirandel responded, "Yes, you kind of did. Those two are never going to get along."
Evander stormed out in frustration, leaving his friends puzzled. Melody asked, "What happened? Why are you mad?" Evander didn't respond and walked over to Thorn and his friends' table. He clapped his hands on it, startling everyone, and then fixed his gaze on Thorn.
"Listen," Evander began, "I don't know what you did to convince Professor Nightshade to make us share dorms, but your evil plan won't work."
Thorn looked at Evander in shock and then screamed, "We have to share a what?"
As everyone turned to them, Evander explained, "We have to share a dorm."
Thorn, confused, glanced between Evander, Felix, and Rowan, then grabbed Evander's arm and stormed out of the room angrily, causing whispers to spread among the students.
Athena commented, "Well, this isn't going to be good."
Felix nodded in agreement, observing the tension between Thorn and Evander. Thorn, still fuming, tightly gripped Evander's hand.
Evander, feeling the pressure, exclaimed, "What the bloody hell! I know you're mad, but let go of my hand!"
