Ciara's POV
"Snap out, darling. Don't forget to bring the luggages in, pretty," Vulcan taunted, sliding into the room.
His words were anything but fair. I couldn't believe he still believed I had cheated on him, when it was he who had compelled me to do so.
Regaining my composure, I unleashed my numb legs and spun around, rushing towards the elevator. The wait felt interminable as I pressed the button, and out of patience, I turned and dashed towards the stairs, unconcerned about the energy it would consume.
Running down the stairs at an abrupt pace, my airways desperately seeking more air. Once downstairs, I hurried through the hallway and into the lobby, where I spotted the object of my ire.
