"Someone's here," she heard Maxwell whispered, in a moment of time she heard footsteps coming towards where she was hiding. She closed her eyes, praying for God's intervention. The footsteps was getting closer when she saw Piper ran past where she was hiding into the lounge. She quickly picked up her phone, without waiting for another second she sneak out of her hiding place making sure that her footsteps was as silent as a grave yard.
She went back to her room, her heart still racing as she sat on her bed. She was a little convinced they would assume it was Piper all these while, she prayed silently they won't suspect further. After taking a warm bath she was all refreshed, ready to take the girls out. She dressed up in a simple outfit, with no makeup, ready to heed the mall.
She waited for the girls to get ready, immediately they were done, Marcus took them straight away to the shopping mall. While in the car, she constantly glanced at Marcus, noticing as he watched her from the rearview mirror, she was truly uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get off the car.
In about some few minutes, they got to the shopping mall. The moment the car came to a halt, they all got down, venturing towards the entrance of the mall. Isadora noticed Maxwell following them form behind, she sigh in frustration as they entered the mall.
While the girls were shopping she noticed a familiar face, from afar. She couldn't really guess who it was due to the distance between them. But was the person walked closer she recognized him, she quickly backed the person, looking for the fastest disguise.
Since she was in the clothing section, she took a scarf, wrapping it around her head. She went to where Piper was standing, she helped her pick some outfit. She felt the familiar figure pass behind her, after some few seconds she looked to the direction the person was headed, fear wash over her as she watched him disappear.
Piper noticed Isadora's longing gaze, and her scared expression. After tracing her gaze, she suddenly asked, "Aunty do you know that person?" Pointing toward the direction she was looking at earlier.
Isadora didn't expect her to be that observant, she quickly came up with a lie which she expect Piper to believe. "No I don't, I was just looking at the outfit," she replied, trembling with nervousness.
"No the way you looked at him, like you know him," Piper stated, a tone that's full of wonder.
"Nothing of such," she answered, laughing it off. "Where is your sister?" She asked after noticing Sophia's absence and also a way to divert from their previous conversation.
"I don't know?" She answered, not even a hint of worry in her voice.
"Let's look for her," Isadora voiced, holding the cart as they set out to look for her.
Walking through the shoe section, she noticed Sophia from a distance talking to a boy. Her curiosity level became high, she wanted to eavesdrop so bad on their conversation.
"Piper, pick shoes you'd love," she uttered, hoping to get Piper off her back which she did.
She glanced at Piper who was now busy checking out different shoes. She walked away from her and hide behind a track of cloth that was in front of Sophia and the guy.
"See you tonight," the boy declared.
"Sure, bye," Sophia answered.
Isadora nodded her head as if she got an idea and quickly went back to meet Piper who didn't noticed she left earlier. While helping Piper to pick shoes, they saw Sophia waking up to them.
"Where have you been?" Isadora questioned, pretending not to know.
"It's none of your business," she answered, in a condescending voice.
Isadora decided not to speak further, deciding to just observe things. When they finished shopping for what they needed, she paid for it and they left the mall. They got into the car, after placing everything in the trunk of the car.
From there they went to the Stationary store and bought everything they needed. Then, they journey back home. On getting home, they went to their room to rest from their tendous journey.
Meanwhile, Marcus didn't waste time in meeting Maxwell in his office. "What's the news," Maxwell asked in a cold scary voice, that can make someone crumble.
He explained everything he noticed about Isadora when they were at the mall, making sure not to leave any detail left behind.
"Who's he," Maxwell inquired, immediately he was done with his explanations.
"According to my research his name is Dante Waverly. He's a member of the Calandro crew a Mafia group. He might hold a prominent position in the group and has a lot of criminal record. But I don't know how he's anyway connected with Isadora," he explained, in a confident tone.
"Find out everything you know about him and how he's connected with Isadora to bring out that kind of reaction form her. Find out!" He thunder, with a blazing eye.
"Yes Master," Marcus voiced, as he bow and left. Maxwell leaned back on his chair as he had a questioning look on his face, while he was lost in thought.
Isadora woke up in the late hours of the day, the evening sun was already down. She got out of bed, her stomach grumbling. She made her way to the kitchen and found the cook setting the table. She politely requested for her food, which was given to her. She went to the mini dining which was where the workers sit to eat.
While eating she saw Mrs. Agnes walked towards her and sat beside her a warm smile appearing on her face.
"How was your day?" She asked Isadora, as she settled down on the chair.
"It was okay, how was yours?" She asked, gazing into Agnes eyes.
"Normal as usual," she answered, admist a short laugh.
They talked as they ate, when they were done they retreated to their room, retiring from the day events. As Isadora walked back to her room, her mind flew back to her encounter with Dante, she just hoped he didn't see her, if he did he's going to tell Antonio Williams and that's trouble.
Antonio was Isadora's ex - boyfriend, she had no choice than to stop seeing him after getting pregnant for Maxwell.
When she entered her room, everywhere was dark, she didn't remember turning off the light. As she switched on the light, she gasped when she came face to face with Maxwell.
"How dare you eavesdrop on my conversation," he barked, with a fury.
