Kiriko's eyes locked onto Kenji and Yasu, his expression grave. He began to recount the dark history of the BGC, his voice low and mysterious. "The original ten warriors, chosen by the supreme leaders, were bestowed with immense power. But one of them, Ryukawa, turned to the dark side and was locked away. Ten years later, he escaped and assassinated the other nine warriors, leaving their offspring fatherless."
Yasu's eyes widened in shock. "But Ryukawa must be dead by now, surely?"
Kiriko's gaze turned ominous. "Ryukawa's spirit transfers from one body to another, decade after decade. In the past 100 years, eight warriors have faced him and failed. Only one, Ryuzaki, remains."
Kenji's eyes sparkled with excitement. "That's amazing! I can't wait to fight!"
Kiriko's face fell, his eyes pleading. "No, no, no! That's not what I meant!"
But Kenji was undeterred, grabbing Kiriko and dragging him to the gym. Yasu intervened, asking about the powers bestowed upon the warriors. Kiriko hesitated, his eyes darting around the room. "Legend has it that the powers shift through generations, leaving a fragment of the original gift."
(Wait could it be that noburo's weird experience earlier indicates that he is one of the descendant's of the warriors? hopefully not.)
As they arrived at the gym, Kiriko's protests grew louder. "Please, no! I can't even lift a jar properly!"
But Kenji was relentless, pushing Kiriko to his limits. Just as they finished their grueling session, and head back to the office to take some rest only to behold another issue, the police arrived, asking Kenji to accompany them to the station for questioning.
Kiriko's eyes widened in surprise. "Concerning Mr. Kazuki's death? But Kenji was his mentor!"
Yasu intervened, her voice calm and collected. "On what charges, officer?"
The police officer's expression turned stern. "We have a lead that suggests Kenji was involved in the murder."
Kenji's face turned red with anger. "This is nonsense! I would never harm my mentor!"
Yasu placed a calming hand on Kenji's shoulder. "Let's go with them, Kenji. If you're innocent, you have nothing to fear."
Kiriko's eyes gleamed with mischief. "Yes, go with them. I'm sure it'll be a thrilling experience."
But before he could finish, Yasu turned to him. "Suzuki said you have a law degree, right? You'll come with us to clear this up."
Kiriko's eyes widened in horror. "What? No! This has nothing to do with me!"
But Kenji was already dragging him away, his protests falling on deaf ears. As they left the office, Kiriko's mind raced with thoughts of escape. But for now, he was trapped in Yami's web of deceit, forced to play a role he never intended.
