Kenji's eyes narrowed as he studied Kiriko's expression. "What do you mean by 'ancient times'?" he asked, his tone skeptical.
Kiriko leaned back in his chair, a faraway look in his eyes. "The BGC has its roots in an ancient tournament, one that was held to determine the strongest warrior in the land. The tournament was said to be cursed, and many of the participants never returned."
Yasu's eyes widened. "That's just a legend, right?"
Kiriko's smile was enigmatic. "Perhaps. But I've seen things that make me believe there's truth to the legend. Things that make me think the BGC is more than just a simple tournament."
Kenji's grip on his fist tightened. "What kind of things?"
Kiriko hesitated, as if unsure of how much to reveal. "I've seen... visions, I suppose you could call them. Visions of the past, of the ancient tournament. And I've seen... things, moving in the shadows. Things that don't seem human."
Yasu's eyes were wide with fear. "What do you think is going on, Kiriko?"
Kiriko's expression turned grim. "I think the BGC is a front for something much darker. Something that could put all of our lives in danger."
As Kiriko finished speaking, the lights in the room began to flicker. Kenji's eyes locked onto Kiriko's, a sense of unease growing in his chest.
Suddenly, the lights went out, plunging the room into darkness.
"What's going on?" Yasu whispered, her voice trembling.
Kiriko's voice was low and steady. "I think we're about to find out."
As they waited in the darkness, the sound of footsteps echoed outside the room. The door creaked open, and a figure loomed in the doorway.
"Who's there?" Kenji demanded, his voice firm.
The figure stepped forward, revealing a tall, imposing man with piercing eyes.
"I am Ryuzaki," the man said, his voice low and commanding. At this point it was only kenji who was hearing a voice as the voice declared "so… you're my descendant, you look worthy, but that's not nearly enough to defeat ryukawa, so be prepared Kenji shonen" As Ryuzaki finished speaking, the lights flickered back to life. Kenji, Yasu, and Kiriko stared at each other, their faces pale with fear. Meanwhile, it was only Kenji who heard the voice
What did Ryuzaki mean? Does it mean kiriko's story was true?…
