'I pick the path of the Psychic-Enhanced Slime.' Alistair said, taking his focus off the screen before him he added. "Even though the path of the Hypnotic Lunar Slime is rarer, I think that of the Psychic-Enhanced Slime is the best for me.'
The reason why he had chosen the path of the Psychic-Enhanced Slime was because when comparing the amount of abilities each Slime owned, the Psychic-Enhanced Slime came out on top.
The Psychic-Enhanced Slime had the flexibility that other options lacked. Others had either weaker psychic prowess, or their stats weren't balanced –making those options glass cannons.
Even though the Hypnotic Lunar Slime had stronger hypnotic abilities, what was the point of focusing on only one aspect and leaving all other aspects weak.
The only disadvantage he saw in picking the Psychic-Enhanced Slime Evolution path was that what it could further evolve into was unknown and that could also be deemed as an advantage in a sense.
Listening to Alistair's choice, the screen in front of Alistair disappeared as another one materialized before him.

[Evolution would begin in ten seconds.]
[It is advised that the host prepares himself mentally as his Evolution would be painful.]
— –
"Why did you choose that path?" The being asked, looking at the screen Alistair saw.
The being was able to see everything Alistair saw through the latter's Mana Sense. Hell, the being had access to every memory Alistair had even the latter's thoughts weren't spared.
The pride the being always had in his voice seemed to have been reduced by a notch when he was talking to Alistair.
Whether it was because Alistair had regained his previous pride, or the being wasn't just in the mood to display his pride; no one knew apart from the being himself.
"It was the one that had infinite possibilities and besides it would make use of my immense potential." Alistair replied, staring at the screen that displayed a countdown.
"I hope you won't regret it." The being advised, trying his best to change Alistair's mind.
"I won't." Alistair said, taking a few minutes to think he added. "Besides, I'm sure it would be too late to change my Evolution path even if I wanted."
Shooting a glance at the screen that had [Nine...] visible on it, the being shook his head and sighed. "It is and no need to be wary around me."
"Sure." Alistair replied, not changing his thoughts about the freeloader within him being dangerous.
If it had been Eleven who suggested he change his Evolution path Alistair would have done it since she was basically his assistant but when it came to the being within him, Alistair would rather loose his family name than trust that bastard.
Alistair vividly remembered that the being had told him that he wanted his body, and heedin the latter's advice would mark him as extremely foolish.
The being might choose the best option for him but at the end, Alistair might not be able to defend against the former when his body was about to be stolen.
Although Alistair's choices may not be the best, it was better than following what the being choose since if the latter tried to convince him it might also mean that the being may have a hard chance taking over his body when the time came.
Even though Alistair didn't want to make his future growth too tough, it would be pointless if he didn't live to witness his growth.
"You may not believe me now but you'll eventually have to when you need to challenge those above the heaven itself." The being said, giving up on changing Alistair's choice but trying to make Alistair trust him.
"Alright I'll think about it." He replied, looking at the screen he added. "But for me to trust you, you need to tell me about the place you mean."
Just when the being was about to respond, he suddenly narrowed his eyes after feeling turbulence within Alistair's sea of consciousness.
In Alistair's mind, the being could be seen with a grin on his face as he muttered. "I might just be able to."
His red eyes had become squinted, making it seem like two blood red crescents hanging in a pitch-black sky when combined with the darkness that shrouded his form.
With a wave of his hand, the being dispersed the darkness that always covered him and finally showed his true form.
He had smooth pale-white skin that would make any girl jealous, a tall figure filled with lean muscles that radiated immense power, black irises that seemed to devour light itself, and red pupils that shown in a feral light.
Running his hand through his waist long hair that had black roots but ended with pale blue tips, the being spread his hand apart as he said. "√ק∆¥ ¢€¢#& $℅Π$Ω..."
The words that left his mouth sounded inhumane, as he spoke in a tone reminiscent to two rusted gears moving over each other.
While he chanted, his hair which seemed to contain every shade of blue from its black roots to its almost white tips fluttered in the wind he generated.
Having blue black runes spread across his form, a smile found its way to the being lips.
"I never expected to get a chance so soon." He said with a smile, making his already handsome face even more stunning.
"Although your Evolution option would've made it difficult to possess your body, who knew I'll be able to do it during your Evolution."
"Screw you." Alistair cursed, enduring the pain that assaulted every cell in his body.
Unbothered by Alistair's curses, the being added. "Rest easy, your body would be of great use when I go to the center of the Multiverse."
"Don't be afraid I won't kill you, your soul would still be intact just that you won't be conscious." He said, having a tone that sound dignified like he planned to do something for the greater good.
Even though he planned to use Alistair's body for his goal, the being had no plans to kill Alistair and would even return the latter's body if he was able to survive the possession until he was done with his plan.
Sensing the pain Alistair was feeling, the being comforted. "Don't see me as the villain."
After a while, the being advised –unwilling to see Alistair suffer. "You might as well loose consciousness as it would make you suffer less pain."
"I plan to dethrone the stuck up gods who reside in the center of Multiverse." The being stated, not giving Alistair a chance to reply he added. "I even plan to give you back your body after I'm done."
Enduring the pain he felt, Alistair refused to loose consciousness as he said. "Even if you wanted to become the Multiverse's ruler I still won't give you my body."
"I guess I have to use force." The being sighed, having the runes all over him glow in an eerie yet magnificent light.
