Chapter 2 - Meeting the Green Eyed Stranger

Exiting my last lecture I made a bee line back to my dorm to rest as I would see my parents later today and I needed to rest. With the main entrance door was within my line of sight as I sped walked like my life was in danger that I didn't see when someone had appeared in my path and without prior caution I smacked straight in to them knocking the both of us to ground.

Stunned I did not move for a few seconds before I was lifted off the person gently and placed next to them that I realised I had blood pouring around me, reacting I shot off the ground apologizing as I shot into the building heading for the bottom floor bathroom. Entering I must of looked like a horror film with blood everywhere before I snatched some tissues out of the dispenser to stop the bleeding. Washing the remaining blood off my face I surveyed my appearance and realised my outfit was screwed. My nose had bled on the impact of crashing into whoever it was that I hit.

The blood took ten minutes for it to stop enough to remove my shirt and use it to wipe my face and my sweatshirt will have to do. Having one last quick look, I exited the bathroom making it safely back to my dorm without encountering anymore unfortunate incidents. Storming straight upto my room, I locked my bedroom door behind me as I made my way to the bathroom to shower off the remaining blood before climbing into bed and was out as soon as I hit my pillow.

I was startled awake by a continuous knocking, that I crawled out of bed to answer the door to my room mate standing there with my parents behind them, that I smiled as both my parents entered as I thank Julie before shutting my door. Staring at my parents that surveyed my room, staring out the window, inspecting my bathroom, the wardrobe space, even my draws I set up.

"Not bad on your craftsmanship," my mother commented as she shoved and tapped my draw that I had to build on my own. "It's strong, I read the manual," I spoke as I laughed before heading to the bathroom to change, before heading out with my parents. Heading out of the dorm with my duffel bag slug around me I lead my parents to the parking garage when I encountered the tall green eyes man again that I stop a few meters away from him.

Frowning I stared at him silently as my parents also came to a stop, staring I remained silent just wondering why he's blocking the path "Just checking your okay, you took a pretty good hit," he stated my eyes grew wide at his statement "I am so sorry about that," I said as he stared at my face for few more seconds before shooting a look over my shoulder. "It's okay it's not everyday a beautiful girl walks into me then runs away," he smirked as I blushed "Well it's impolite to hit a girl with full force," I snarked as I moved around him, disappearing around the corner.

"What was that about?," my mother enquired "I mowed someone down earlier, my nose started bleeding so I left. Find out now it was that person from earlier that I hit." I said as we headed out of th elevator and towards the car. "Seemed he was just teasing and you snapped at him," she commented I rolled my eyes as I started the car, moving it out of the spot and towards the exited. "Focus on where we going mama," I said as I headed out of the parking garage and onto the road before heading out of the city to one of our properties that we rented for their time here.

.

Since my parents came alone to spend time with me, we headed two hours out the of the city to the town over that my father found suitable for us and I drove us there safely.. We had a stocked house, with a cook, maid and helpers since my mother wants to be waited on while on holiday.

Entering the house I was surprised by how big and beautiful it was that I stared at my father who smiled at me "Your mother wants to pretend to fit in," he spoke as I laughed at him and just hugged him. "Hurry up let's get inside," my mother yelled as I helped my father bring the luggage in as we trailed behind her. We were shown our rooms, our bags were put away and by the time we came out of our rooms, our dinner was laid and served.

The next few days we spent sight seeing all the places my mother wanted to visit that she had activities everyday except the last day where she video chatted with my siblings who all started voicing their grievances about them coming alone. The time spent with my family was something I missed but had gotten use to them being a all away and someone always answers. Thanking my siblings for their gifts that had them all changing the subject and asking about school, classes, my roommates and dorm..

Explaining patiently and answering every question calmly while my parents chimed in on the resident they have found suitable for us when they visit since my family loves privacy. Walking them through the house has given them a look into what I have here, it's also away from the university it self so as not to bump into unwanted attention.

Back home my family are rich, both my parents come from money and both built themselves an empire that my older sibling now runs and the other three are working in different departments managing there wing of the company. All of us had to start from the bottom and after you graduated uni then you will be incorporated into the running of the business to ensure we know what we are doing.

Ending the vid chat we then retired to our rooms for the night before heading back into the city tomorrow so my parents could catch their flight home. Waking in the morning I found my mother and father already up, breakfast was laid out in front of me and both were dressed and ready to go. Thank goodness I showered and dressed before heading down for breakfast or my mother would of started screeching at me.

Sitting at the table with my bag at my feet, I had a bit of everything that was laid out in front of me as a hot pot of coffee was also added to the table that made me smile. Eating everything on the table, I sipped my coffee as my mother announced that we were leaving so I filled all our travel mugs with coffee and received the take away containers that the maids had made for our journey back made me sad.

My parents have always doted on all of their kids and it has been great having them here with me. I feel like my cup is full and I know that it would be a while before I see them again and my degree will take a couple of years and this will be my prize every time they come here. As we piled into my car we headed back to city of my dreams that I will call home for the next few years. Stopping along the way to get more coffee, some more photos, try more treats that my mother raved about before we finally enter the underground carpark at the airport. Walking in and getting them checked in took an hour but both were checked in, bags weighed and wrapped and also sent in.. So now we got the restaurant across the road for our last meal together before my parents leave.

The walk across was super close at least a five minute walk and a ten minute wait before we were seated closes to the water that had capture my attention. "It will be a while before mama and I come to visit you." My father spoke as I turned to look at him, "I know, I appreciate yous coming by yourselves this time and spending this time with me.. It will be the only time I am away from the family, it's my first time pāpā don't scare me just yet." I spoke as I stared at my parents who both doted and cherished me just as my siblings did too.

"It will fly past and you will be home before we know it," my mother said as I brushed my tears out of the way. "It is only your first semester, be strong be careful and keep in contact everyday. You are our baby Ren so study and throw the twins of there pedestal," my father teased as I laughed my ass off "Challenged accepted Pāpā," I spoke as we ate the beautiful food placed in front of us. Again my mother research everything we saw, touched, visited, ate, tried and skipped which gave us a broad horizon of this beautiful country.

Watching my parents plane take off I sat there waving as if they could see me. Telling them I loved them and I will be back the day I graduated. Sitting there for an hour gave me time to cry my eyes out as I watched until there plane disappeared. Once my heart had calmed down and my tears dried up, I took a deep breath and let it out before grabbing a facial wipe to clean my face, fix my hair and start my car before heading back to my dorm. Exiting the the private parking garage, I then started my fifteen minute track back to the dorm, when my phone started ringing, silencing it, I wore one ead bud in as I answered the chat when my eldest brother and Sister popped up on my phone. "You okay baby?,* my sister asked as I nodded "I am now." I said as saw my building insight "Can't send you seafood but definitely know we can bring snacks," my sister spoke as I kept aware of my surroundings since I stayed a little later then I hoped "That's okay. Ile wait. My come across a hainamaina by chance," I spoke as I laughed at the rolling of eyes. Entering the building I headed straight for the elevator "The closest thing to home unless I cook it myself." I said dramatically as I entered the elevator pressing my floor. "Now I gotta result too noodles, eggs and toasties," I sighed as I batted my eyes at the two of them since they held the reins to my lifeline.

"Dramatic woman," my brother teased as my sister and I rolled our eyes "Says the man who made us like this," my sister snipes as I laughed "I pity the man you both marry," he says when my sister snipes back "As if they aren't already picked," I couldn't stop, laughing so hard at that my brother hung up "HEYY," I screeched as I reached my floor "Now look at what you did, he's going to marry us off for real now," I teased as I unlocked my door and entered, heading straight for my room. Quick shower before bed since I can upack in the morning.
