Chapter 3 - First Year Breaking Out

First semester was tough, it had a lot of theory that I hadn't encountered and trying to grasp the concept had me video chatting my second brother for help as I felt like it was computing correctly. After a few nights of detailed references I started to get what the lecture was getting at and found easier ways for me to remember the main points.

Studying all the material made it more easier to face the questions head on and understand the severity of each code as it symbolize different companent that make certain things move, work or even fit. Having study all the materials I googled to see what else would be available for me in the campus library..

Heading to the library I headed straight to the reception to receive my library card and identification card to be able to eat at the cafeteria during meals. Searching for the correct aisle and author I found what I was looking for and since two were more explanatory it was easier to take two then five. Checking out the books I left and made my way back to the cafeteria for lunch and to see what they have to offer.

Hopping in line, I grabbed me a tray and slowly made my way through. Grabbing 2 x muffins, 2 x cheese burgers, 1 x cup of hot chips and hot cup of coffee. Paying for my food I made my way to a secluded spot to set my phone up in front of me as I know my sister would be waiting for me to to check in as you like to call it. Setting my phone up with my food in front of me as I put my airpod in and waiting on my sister to answer.

"Hi baby, what you got for lunch?," she asked as I smiled and at her "2 x chocolate muffins with two square butter, 2 x burgers and chips cause I am starving right now, oh and I got a coffee," I said as I waved the cup in front of the phone. "What did māmā make for you?," I asked as I slowly ate the chips and burgers. "Chicken, chop suey and buns," she said as I frowned at the shadow that descended around me turning around I was met with both my roommates standing there discussing something "Hi," I spoke when they both turned too look at me "Well I guess they didn't expect you to notice them," my sister spoke as she stared passed me "I guess that too they still haven't spoken," I said as it seemed to snap them out of whatever they were doing enough to notice my phone "People in that country are weird, Love you," she spoke before hanging up. Laughing I closes my screen "Sorry for disturbing your meal we were wondering if we could sit with you." Julie spoke as she ushered Ashley to the seat In front of me.

"Hi Serena sorry for popping up on you," Ashley spoke as I smiled at her "It's okay, I was just having lunch via vid chat with my sister. How's things?," I questioned when both girls looked at each other then back to me I frowned "That wasn't subtle at all," I said as I finish my food and sat drinking my coffee. When I had a feeling someone or something was either looking at me or coming towards me that I shot out of my seat and spun around looking around then back at the two sitting at my table stunned by my abrupt movement "Sorry, I have ADHD, don't mind me," I said as I quickly sat like nothing and started looking around when the top of my right ear started by zzing that I found it hard to concentrate on the conversation being had that I started survey the cafeteria.

Noting the gigantic dinning hall that still seemed too small to fit everyone in it back this is still one of three cafe in the entire school. "Did you go home for the holiday or something. You were around one day, then it's like you disappeared but since your room was locked from the outside, I knew you were safe," Julie spoke in such a rush that I just got everything she said.

"Oh I am so sorry. My parents flew in half way through the holiday, we stayed outside the city while they were here. This city alone is like my entire country, it's too much for them to navigate that I was proud they found there way here to the correct dorm, room number and what floor, to pick me up," I spoke with so much enthusiasm that both girls smiled.

"Yeah we saw the lock off this morning but we had class. We just finished class, we came looking for food and who would of thought we would find you here."Ashley spoke as I smiled "By the time I got back to campus after my parents left it was late and I was just glad to finally sleep." I said when the feeling of being watched came back but now my face was tingling so I then she's fted my chair to be beside Ashley facing the other side of the cafeteria that I had my back to when I startled Ashley.

"Holy shit you weren't kidding," she spoke as I turned my attention back to her and Julie. "It's impulsive, but I swear something is....," I trailed off when I locked eyes with a the green eyed man I encountered with my parents that the feeling earlier had disappeared. Looking away from him, I realised I had been bluntly staring at him, but the feeling earlier just vanished that I was stunned before staring back at my roommates. "I think I need more sleep, so I am gonna catch you both later," I said as I stood taking my tray to the bin before exiting and heading back to the dorm.

Walking back I took my time and took in my surroundings, all the statue that have some sort of impact on the school and the land it sit on. The school is five times bigger then our highschools and being in their college establishment really opened my eyes to the world around me. Heading back to the dorm seemed alot faster and since I started to feel paranoid and that wasn't good.

Removing myself felt safer for me, the overwhelming feeling had me leaving faster then my roommates sat to eat. Entering the building I almost flew to the elevator, that I started pacing inside of it to try calm my over active imagination that was obviously wrecking my nerves since I am in a different country, completely by myself and the feeling of being watched was making me paranoid.

Taking a deep breath I took big lung fulls to suppress the panic trying to take hold but keeping my mind blank until the elevator reached my floor that I had calmed my mind enough to make it to my door without freaking out. Once I was inside I lent against the door for a second until my brain calmed from scaring the hell out of me and my roommates. Now people will think I'm crazy.

Heading to my room, I had a nice hot shower and let the water wash over my body as the feeling earlier disappeared. I couldn't understand the necessity but damn. Once I was finished I exited the bathroom and changed into my pajamas before sliding back under my covers and falling asleep again.

The weekend consisted of me cleaning my room, rearranging my clothes and space. That I did the rest of our communal spaces, cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, dishes and then preparing something for us to eat. Since there is only three of us, it's became a routine of one does cooking the other two clean up. It's became quite easier everyday that I find myself enjoying their company and on w that they also have separated friends outside our house and that is okay.

I don't have any friends outside the house as I am too busy to even sit down some days and that suits me fine. My two roommates understand and know that I may not always hang out with them and their other friends but at least I am not rude either. And we are becoming even more closer since we are all single, we are all here for our education and that our classes are as hectic as each other's so that we have days were we are all sleeping and out house is locked up with all three inside it.
