Chereads / Harry Potter: Necromancer's Legacy / Chapter 50 - Bellatrix vs Spectral Hound

Chapter 50 - Bellatrix vs Spectral Hound

Bellatrix stood up and came running to the arena. She was curious to see how powerful that hound was compared to the skeletons. The spectral hound, a creature of pure necro energy fused with a soul, stood menacingly before her.

Ryan ordered her to attack the hound. "Give it all you have. Don't hold back."

"I'm gonna blast it off," Bellatrix said with a large grin.

He apparated back under the tree and sat down with a sigh. was exhausted after expending that much energy at once.

Ryan glanced at Narcissa, who was watching with a worried look. "She'll be fine," he said softly, his eyes reflecting confidence. Narcissa nodded hesitantly, biting her lower lip. She couldn't help but worry about Bellatrix. That hound looked dangerous and she could feel the cold energy slowly sweeping through the area.

Bellatrix drew her wand, her eyes narrowing as she focused on her target.

"Alright, mutt. Let's see what you're made of," she muttered, her voice laced with excitement.

With a swift flick of her wand, she cast a non-verbal spell, sending a bolt of purple lightning streaking toward the hound. The hound darted to the side, moving with a speed and agility that took Bellatrix by surprise. The bolt missed, striking the ground and leaving a scorch mark.

"Wow! Damn, this thing is fast!" Bellatrix exclaimed, her eyes widening slightly. She readied herself again, casting another non-verbal spell. This time, she unleashed a barrage of bolts, aiming at the hound's legs. The hound dodged effortlessly, gliding through the air with unnatural grace. "Tsk." She clicked her tongue. She was impressed by the hound's speed and agility but was growing frustrated by its ability to evade her attacks.

The hound lunged at Bellatrix, its jaws snapping with feral intensity.

"Protego!" Bellatrix met the attack head-on, countering with a protective barrier. The hound crashed into the barrier, causing Bellatrix to stagger back. "Damn! It's strong too!" She gritted her teeth, her eyes narrowing. She sidestepped and quickly threw multiple curses, "Reducto! Confringo! Incendio!"

The hound twisted and turned, evading most of her spells but taking a hit to its side. It staggered slightly, its form flickering more intensely, but quickly recovered and continued its assault.

Bellatrix grinned, clearly enjoying the challenge. It's been a while since she last faced a worthy opponent. Most of her opponents died within seconds, but this mutt was tough. She moved around the hound, casting spell after spell. The hound was relentless, its attacks and speed were too much for her to keep up with. But Bella's shield casting and reaction time were also exceptional.

Ryan watched from under the tree, his eyes fixed on the battle. He could see the hound's potential, speed, and power, but he also saw its weaknesses. It relied heavily on its speed and power to overwhelm its opponents. But against Bellatrix, this approach proved futile because the attack pattern was too predictable. She could easily dodge its attacks. Ryan noted this down in his mind, planning to improve the hound's abilities later.

'Is it because there's a human soul inside it? Hmm... Maybe I should give it more intelligence or a beast's soul? A wolf maybe?' Ryan thought.

Bellatrix's eyes went toward Ryan who was watching her. She couldn't believe that a mutt was keeping up with her for this long. Ryan was clearly a genius in creating such a creature. She wanted to impress him more. Her master is watching, after all.

"Bombarda Maxima!" she shouted, sending a massive explosion towards the hound. The blast shook the ground, sending dirt and debris flying in all directions. The hound dodged, but the force of the explosion still sent it skidding across the arena. She smirked, satisfied that she had at least managed to land a blow. "Impressive, mutt. But let's see how you handle this!"

She cast a series of rapid-fire curses, her wand moving so quickly it was a blur. "Diffindo! Expulso! Deprimo!" Each spell was aimed with deadly precision, intended to either slice through the hound or blast it into submission. The hound twisted and turned, evading some of the spells but taking a few hits. It staggered slightly, its form flickering but still holding.

The hound's eyes glowed with an eerie blue light as it lunged at Bellatrix, its jaws snapping. Bellatrix raised her wand defensively. "Protego!" A blue shield formed in front of her, absorbing the hound's attack. The impact forced her back a few steps, but she stood her ground. She twisted her body, spinning out of the hound's jaws, "Reducto!"

The spell hit the hound's legs, causing them to disintegrate. The creature fell to the ground, its form flickering wildly. Bellatrix took a moment to catch her breath, thinking she had won. But to her shock, the hound's legs began to regenerate, the dark mist coalescing and reforming.

The hound lunged again, its jaws snapping at Bellatrix. She dodged, barely managing to avoid being bitten. "Dammit!" she cursed, frustration evident on her face. "Regeneration!"

Bella could feel her limits. She wanted to use the forbidden curses, but considering the hound before her was made of pure magic and the soul of a dead human, she wasn't sure if it would work. She decided to change tactics and focus on defense and counterattacks instead. As she fought, Ryan could feel her getting exhausted. He could see that the hound was weakening as well, its form flickering and fading.

"Keep going, Bella!" he shouted. "You're almost there! Don't hold back!"

'Master! Master is cheering for me!' Bella felt motivated and invigorated.

"Bombarda Maxima!" She fired off another explosive curse, blasting the hound back. She followed up with a non-verbal cutting curse, slicing into the hound's flank. The hound let out a loud howl, its form flickering wildly. Bella pushed through the pain and exhaustion as she unleashed another volley of spells.

The hound struggled to get up, its form flickering rapidly. But despite its injuries, it refused to back down.

Bella now has the upper hand. She pressed forward, with a sadistic smile on her face. She could feel the thrill of battle coursing through her veins, the adrenaline pumping through her body. She blasted the hound with a jet of scalding hot water, causing it to recoil in pain, followed by a bunch of blue exploding bolts.

"This is the end!" Her smile disappeared as she pulled her wand backward. The tip of her wand glowed with intense crimson-red light. "Finite Incantatem!" She pushed it forward with a cold gaze.

The hound's form exploded outward, dispersing into a cloud of dark mist. Bella stood there, panting heavily. She could feel her muscles burning from the exertion, but she didn't care. She won the battle. 'I hope he's impressed...' She stumbled backward as the exhaustion caught up to her.

Ryan apparated behind her, catching her before she collapsed to the ground. "That was amazing, Bella! You did great."

"Sorry for destroying it. You put so much effort into creating it..."

"It's alright. I can always make another one."

Ryan apparated both of them back under the tree. Narcissa rushed over, helping Bellatrix sit down.

"You should stop pushing yourself too much. Now, look at you. Who in their right mind spams that many big curses in a row?" Narcissa grabbed Bella's left hand and pulled the wand away, placing it on the ground. Due to overheating or recklessly using that many curses, Bella's left hand got burned badly. She quickly took out a potion vial and poured it over Bella's wounded hand.

"Ouch! It burns!"

Narcissa sighed, "Ah! It burns now, huh?! If you stopped spamming big curses like that, it wouldn't have happened."

Bellatrix winced, the cool liquid stinging her raw skin. "But I had to show my master how awesome I am!"

Narcissa shook her head in exasperation. "Idiot."

Ryan smiled at the two sisters bickering. He loved seeing this side of them. It was peaceful and fun... Only if life was always like this.

.

.

Over the next few days, Ryan created ten hounds. He wanted to create more, but it was his limit. Along with the remaining 44 skeletons and ten hounds, he can now destroy an entire village if he wants or face an army of Aurors or Dark Wizards, depending on how good they are. He also made Bellatrix and Narcissa fight against his hounds and skeletons in the name of training.

Bella was good, but Narcissa was rusty.

After her marriage to Lucius, Narcissa spent most of her days peacefully without any need to fight anyone. Although she practiced every now and then, well, fighting against dummies and servants is different from a real opponent. Ryan reminded her that it's important to keep up with her skills to avoid death.

Apart from that, Ryan also kept an eye out for the events of the outside world.

'Hmm... Nice." He read the newspaper.

The ministry took down the Mulcibers and Lucius is on a run. Goyles were annihilated too. Most of the families supporting Voldemort abandoned him and went into hiding. The Ministry was working hard, uprooting the dark wizards to salvage whatever reputation they had left after the exposure of their dark secrets.

The dark side might have lost its supporters, but that doesn't mean the Death Eaters will stop killing. Besides, Voldemort got a massive army of Inferius under his command. That alone makes him very dangerous. Ryan wondered how strong that bastard had become or how frustrated he had become after multiple setbacks. He wanted to see his face at least once and laugh at his situation.

Then, there were multiple riots, stampede, and the rise of a new power that wanted to take down the Ministry for good. Then, some werewolves killed six members of the ministry, investigation is still ongoing...

"Ryan, the food is ready," Bella called out.

"I'm coming!"
