Chapter 44 - TERROR IN THE MALFOY TERRITORY

---[Present Time]---

The night was dark and filled with tension as the search for Narcissa Malfoy continued. The entire village surrounding Malfoy Manor was in an uproar, lanterns and magical lights flickering as groups of wizards and witches combed the area for any sign of her. A meeting of the most loyal Malfoy followers and guards had been convened inside the mansion. They were discussing strategies and dividing into search parties, their faces etched mostly with concern.

[Outside]

Bellatrix Lestrange stood at the mansion's entrance. A gust of wind passed by, making her curly hair flutter. Beside her, ten skeletal figures stood motionless, their hollow eyes glowing with an ominous green light. Each one carried a wand, pulsing with dark energy, ready to unleash havoc at her command.

"Today is a good day to die," With a flick of her wand, she signaled the attack. The skeletons moved silently, their bones creaking with each step, as they spread out across the mansion grounds.

[Servant's quarters]

The first to fall were the house-elves. Loyal and hardworking, they were unprepared for the sudden onslaught. The undead skeletons descended upon them, casting curses and destructive spells that filled the air with green and red sparks. Screams echoed through the hallways as the small creatures tried in vain to defend themselves. One by one, they fell, their tiny bodies crumpling under the dark magic.

Bellatrix joined in the attack. Her wand flicked left and right as she cast the Killing Curse ruthlessly. The green light of Avada Kedavra illuminated her twisted smile as she moved through the servants' quarters, leaving a trail of lifeless bodies in her wake. Those poor elves were no match for her or those skeletons.

Next, they walked toward the human servant rooms. The workers were aware of the ongoing situation since the explosion of spells and curses reached their ears, but what could they do? They aren't armed. At least some of them are powerful enough to duel some, but not against those walking dead, so they closed their doors, barricaded, and hoped it would pass.

Bellatrix aimed her wand at the door and fired a curse, "Reducto!" The wood shattered into pieces as the spell blasted through. The occupants cowered in fear as she entered the room, her skeletal companions close behind. There was a brief moment of silence before she looked back at the skeletons, "Take care of the other two rooms. These weaklings are all mine."

"Yes, mistress." The skeletons obeyed and headed for the remaining rooms. Bellatrix turned her attention to the frightened workers, her wand raised high above her head.

"Now, where were we? Ah yes, dying." She waved her wand, "Crucio!" The workers screamed in agony as the curse hit them. Their bodies writhed in pain as they fell to the ground, writhing and twisting like snakes. "Ahh, music to my ears." Bellatrix continued to spam the Crucio curse, tormenting the workers mercilessly. Her eyes shone with a sadistic gleam as she watched them suffer. "You know what your sin is? Do you? If simply because you all are serving Lucius, the bastard responsible for the torment of my master. NOW SUFFER! AHAHAHAHA!"

"CRUCIO! CRUCIO! CRUCIO!"

The workers didn't stand a chance against Bellatrix's relentless assault. They cried out in anguish, their voices rising to a crescendo of pain and suffering. They pissed and shit themselves as the curse continued to tear through their bodies. Bellatrix laughed maniacally as she tortured the workers to death. She reveled in their agony, savoring every moment of it. Finally, after several minutes, she relented. The workers lay dead on the floor, their bodies twisted and two of them even bit off their tongues unable to withstand the pain.

"Haahh..." Bellatrix sighed contentedly as she lowered her wand, "That was refreshing. Now, onto the next ones." She left the room and headed for the next one, leaving behind the lifeless bodies of the workers. The skeletons finished the job in the remaining two rooms with ease. They killed everyone without mercy. "Good job."

[The Dining Hall]

In the grand dining hall, the Malfoy guards and loyal followers were gathered, discussing plans to find Narcissa when the first sounds of chaos reached them. The absence of Lucius and Narcissa had left them leaderless and uncertain.

Before anyone could respond, the doors to the dining hall burst open. The undead skeletons stormed in, their skeletal forms casting terrifying shadows on the walls. Spells flew across the room, shattering glasses and setting the opulent curtains on fire.

"Defend yourselves!" shouted one of the senior guards, rallying the few wizards present to fight back. They scattered around the hall, two flipped the table over and hid behind it, some took cover behind the pillars, under the stairs, and wherever they could find a small cover, while three instantly fell to the ground with their bodies caught in fire.

"ARGGGG!" They screamed as their flesh burned, filling the air with a putrid smell. More spells came flying from the skeletons, hitting anything that moved. It was pure carnage.

"Confringo!" yelled Bellatrix, sending a blast of fire toward a group of wizards hiding behind a table. The spell hit them directly, blasting them apart and setting their robes aflame.

"Gaaahhh!" Their bodies flew and crashed into the wall.

"Aquamenti!" One of the witches hiding behind the pillar countered, spraying water at those two wizards in flame. But Bellatrix flicked her wand, "Serpensortia!" The snake conjured by Bellatrix charged toward that witch, wrapping around her leg and biting her. "AAAAH!" She fell down, trying to rip the snake out of her leg. "HEEEELP!"

The skeletons moved swiftly through the hall, casting spells and killing everyone they encountered. They were ruthless and efficient, cutting down any resistance with ease. The spells and curses thrown at them were useless due to their unusually high damage resistance. And Ryan added an extra layer of necro magic on them, so, they were pretty much a walking disaster.

"Avada Kedavra!" Bellatrix fired a Killing Curse toward that screaming witch. Green light flashed as the curse hit its mark, silencing the witch forever. "Ahahaha, this is fun!"

Bellatrix laughed maniacally as she wreaked havoc on the dining hall.

The remaining guards and followers, their faces twisted with rage and desperation, fought with all their might. They dueled multiple undead at once, their wand movements precise and powerful. But the relentless assault was taking its toll. Sweat poured down their faces, and their breaths came in ragged gasps.

"Protego!" shouted one of the senior guards, casting a shield charm to deflect a barrage of curses. The shield shimmered for a moment before shattering under the force of the dark magic. The guards staggered back, their defenses weakening.

Bellatrix seized the moment. She stepped forward, her wand aimed directly at the senior guard. "Avada Kedavra!" The green light shot from her wand, hitting the guard squarely in the chest. His eyes widened in shock, and he crumpled to the ground, lifeless.

In less than five minutes, the battle was over. The skeletons killed everyone without mercy. Not a single wizard or witch had escaped their wrath. The dining hall was now littered with bodies, some burnt, some ripped apart, others pierced by spells.

The mansion was a scene of utter devastation.

Bodies lay strewn across the floor, and the air was thick with smoke and the stench of death. Bellatrix walked through the carnage, her eyes cold and unfeeling. She had achieved her goal. The Malfoy family's loyal servants and guards were destroyed, and their mansion was in ruins. She stood amidst the destruction, her smile twisted with satisfaction. "Now, it's time to bring this place down, but before that..." she whispered to herself. "Five of you, go to the underground treasury..."

Bellatrix swished her wand at the wall behind the stairs, blasting a hole. Beyond that hole, there was a staircase leading to the underground treasury.

"...use these mokeskin pouches..." She took out ten pouches from her little pouch and threw them at the skeletons, "Clear out the treasury. There should be more pouches in there. If these ain't enough, use those. You got ten minutes."

The five skeletons took the pouches from the floor and climbed down the stairs. Bellatrix smirked as she watched them disappear into the darkness. "Let's see how much they can fill..." She turned toward the remaining five, "Burn down the village. Just don't use Fiendfyre. Master's order. We need them alive. So, get going."

The skeletons nodded and headed out of the mansion. Bellatrix stayed behind to destroy the remaining parts of the mansion.

As the skeletons reached the edge of the village, they spread out, ready to execute Bellatrix's orders.

The village center, usually bustling with activity, was now a scene of chaos. Villagers had gathered, clutching their wands and looking around nervously. The news of the attack on Malfoy Manor had spread quickly thanks to all the explosions and fire, and fear was palpable in the air. Mothers clutched their children close, while the men and rest of the witches tried to organize some form of defense.

The first skeleton reached the village square and raised its wand. With a flick, it sent a fireball crashing into a nearby house. Flames erupted, licking the night sky as the house was engulfed in fire. Screams filled the air as villagers tried to extinguish the flames with water spells.

"Incendio!" the second skeleton chanted, igniting another home. The fire spread rapidly thanks to the wooden structures. Panic spread through the crowd as people realized the extent of the danger.

The third skeleton, standing near the market, cast a series of fire spells in quick succession. Stalls and shops burst into flames, sending the remaining outer guards and those who came to defend their properties, fleeing in terror. The once vibrant marketplace was now a blaze of destruction, smoke rising in thick plumes.

The fourth and fifth skeletons targeted the outskirts of the village. They moved through the narrow streets, casting incendiary spells at every house they passed. The fires spread quickly, merging into a massive inferno that threatened to consume the entire village.

Inside one of the houses, a family huddled together, their faces pale with fear. The father tried to calm his children as the mother peered out the window, her heart pounding in her chest.

"They're burning everything," she whispered, her voice trembling.

"We have to get out," the father said, his voice firm. "Stay close to me."

They rushed out of the house, only to be confronted by the fifth skeleton. It raised its wand, and the father barely had time to react. "Protego!" he shouted, casting a shield charm just in time to deflect the fireball. "Run!" he yelled to his family.

The mother grabbed the children and ran down the street, the flames roaring behind them. The father followed, casting spells over his shoulder to keep the skeleton at bay. But as per the order, the skeleton didn't follow or attack them. Instead, it unleashed more fire spells, setting the entire village ablaze.

The rest of the skeletons did the same, spreading out to cover the whole village. The result? Houses, shops, markets, farms, and the entire village were engulfed in raging inferno.

By the time the five skeletons came out of the treasury, carrying several full mokeskin pouches, the whole village was burning, and villagers screaming and fleeing for their lives.

The skeletons showed her the pouches, which Bellatrix checked one by one, "Good. Carry them back to the cave." She ordered. The skeletons moved out, making their way toward the forest. Bellatrix apparated out of the mansion and... "Bombarda Maxima!" She cast a powerful bomb explosion curse on the mansion, bringing it down in a fiery explosion.
