Ken ran through the beginner forest, doing his best to dodge and side-stepping the five wolves that were chasing him relentlessly.
[Hahahahahaha! I can't get over how perfect your aim was! Aim god tier! Hahahahahaha!]
The system laughed, making Ken annoyed and a little guilty.
"I wasn't even aiming!" Ken retorted as he leaped to the side, kicking a wolf as he did.
A wolf lunged at him, and without delay, Ken swang his sword down, slashing right at the head, spilling the head into half, killing the wolf instantly.
He leaped back again and kicked a wolf that tried to bite his leg, while his free left hand caught another wolf and hurled it at the wolf he had just kicked.
Sidestepping a few more lunges, he got serious and beheaded a wolf with a single swing.
[2 down 3 more to go~]
The system comments which Ken ignored, focused on dealing with the wolves.
Ken slammed the butt of the sword down on the first wolf's head while he stomped down on the second left leg, while the third found an opening and bit down on his right ankle.
Ken didn't even react to it, he lifted his right leg, put all his weight on the left, crushed the second wolf, and slashed at the first that had recovered and lunged at him, cutting its face in half.
The third wolf, violently jerked its head trying to tear off Ken's ankle, but Ken just plunged his sword down, stabbing it in the head and pinning the sword on the ground.
The second wolf tried desperately to escape, but Ken crushed his foot down harder, breaking its jaw and crushing all its resistance.
[All down~Nice! You are ruthless as ever!]
The system chimed in, cheerful.
"Thanks, I guess." Ken shrugged as he sheathed his sword.
He jerked his right leg, getting the wolf off, and inspected the injury, which wasn't much. The teeth of the wolf had pierced in and drawn blow and even caused a small tear in the muscle, but that was it.
Ken was still fine and ready to go, his adaptability and level up letting him ignore the injury—nothing new to him, after all, he had suffered some serious injuries in the past which were ignorable for him.
Any infection from the bite was not even a concern.
[You going to go finish off the poor guy? He must still remembers your godly aim~]
"Sigh... Live it down already," Ken muttered in annoyance as he recalled what had happened, a little pity flashing in his eyes.
----What had happened----
"Eight wolves... I'll need to find two more after this,"
Ken muttered as he sat on a branch of a tree, observing a small pack of wolves.
About 90 meters away, 8 wolves were present with a few eaten goblin corpses lying around.
Three of the wolves were looking in Ken's direction, cautious, but since they had just eaten they didn't try anything with Ken.
[Your luck is really good, those wolves just ate so they won't be going for you]
The system remarked, there was a bit of thoughtfulness in, as if she was about to do something that would entertain her, which was trouble for Ken.
[Actually, I have some good advice: throw your sword. If your aim is good, then you'll definitely kill one wolf, and the remaining will come and eat you alive. Then you respawn tomorrow and do the same until you complete the quest~! Perfect!] she quipped, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm.
"Yeah, right. You underestimate me," Ken tilted his head, doing some planning in mind.
[Shall I spice things up~?]
The cheerfully asked, causing Ken to shake his head, "No need,"
Ken stood up, pulled out a coin, and tossed it with all his strength.
Aiming to hit a wolves to provoke the whole pack. But... his aim could be said to be a little too good. The coin hit its mark—between the legs of a male wolf that had just turned around.
"AHOOOOWWWWWWW!"
The wolf let out a miserable cry of pain, starting all the wolves and even Ken.
[PFFT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! THAT WAS A GOD SHOT!!! PERFECT SHOT!!!]
The system laughed hysterically, Ken's lips twitched, and he jumped off the tree and started to jog off, the remaining 7 wolves howled and started to chase him.
"I don't think you ever need to cause me trouble... I alone am enough trouble for myself..." Ken muttered as he slowly increased his pace, letting the wolves catch up.
Two of the wolves closed the distance very fast and lunged at him.
Ken huffed and slashed horizontally, cutting the neck of the closest of the two while he kicked right at the neck of the second one, dislocating its neck completely. Killing both of them without much effort.
The other wolves were close to catching up but Ken was already rushing off, keeping tabs of each wolf and preparing to kill them all.
---And that's about it---
Ken backtracked, returning to the wolf that had suffered from his coin, and gave a quick death. The poor wolf was miserable...
Ken left to find 2 more wolves and not even 5 minutes in he saw 2 wolves, not far from where the pack he had killed off was.
[Hmmm, looks like it wasn't just a pack of 2 but possibly more, these two are just scouts. You got real good luck, you actually found a pack of 10 wolves.] The system analyzed, she was amused and more thoughtful now. [Maybe I should go a little harder on you? This quest seems a little too easy...]
Ken's eyebrows twitched but didn't give her words much mind. The two wolves lunged at him but Ken simply sidestepped and slashed down, beheading one. Taking a step forward, he stabbed his sword at the other one.
Ken didn't delay and left. Just a minute later, he encountered his next targets.
A group of 17 Goblins—just 8-year-old kids but green and ugly with long noses and ears. They were weak, letting Ken slaughter them with little effort.
"That's the 17th. 83 more to go,"
Ken coldly muttered, finding no entertainment or excitement in killing the weak goblins.
[Hmmm, green goblins? At least they aren't those disgusting types~]
The system suddenly said, catching Ken's attention fully.
"Don't even bother to beat around the bust... just tell me what it is." Ken directly called out her roundabout way of messing around, no mood to mess around.
[Hehehe, you are starting to understand me~]
[Quest
Make the Hadroly Goblins go extinct!!!
Reward: 10,000,000 System points
Penalty: Life span -10 years
The Hadroly Goblin kings use all humanoids(Including Humans) as baby-making machines. Although only a few Hadroly Goblin Kings do this, there is a high chance that all the goblins under them might follow suit.]
"Hmmm," Ken hummed as he read the extra information, "They will go extinct. They were never shown in the anime... Kingdoms and empires wouldn't let such monsters live, so they are nowhere near any cities." Ken speculated, recalling his anime and novel knowledge, being careful to not voice out anything about his novel knowledge to the system.
"A little more context on Hadroly would be helpful." Ken off-handedly said, and the system didn't seem to mind providing it.
[Huh, Hadroly is an aphrodisiac flower that only affects monsters, especially goblins. Female goblins can't handle the males after they get a whiff of Hadroly, so male goblins turn to other races. Since goblins are humanoid monsters, they target humanoids, mostly humans, because humans are the easiest prey compared to any other races. Hadroly grows on the east edge of the continent, so you can only find the Hadroly goblins there.]
"I see... I will keep it in mind. And how much for a Danger Tracker?" Ken asked, his mind drifting to his dear little sister, Aisa.
[10,000 system points for a normal one but you want it for Aisa. So I recommend getting a 40,000 or more expensive one, They can track danger, alert you, and even keep track of her location.]
The system surprisingly suggested, caring for Aisa... Well, she had her own plans that involved Aisa so she needed to care.
"Appreciate the suggestion," Ken honestly said and left, hunting for goblins.
"66, 67, and 68." Ken plainly counted his kills as he cut down all the goblins in his path. He killed the last goblin, "69."
He swang his sword slightly, causing the blood of the goblins to slip off his sword, he turned to leave.
Rrrrustle!
But suddenly, the bushes rustled and a group of kobolds came out.
Just like the goblins, they were the size of 8-year-olds, humanoids with weird dog heads, and paws.
They growled but most of their attention was on the corpses of goblins Ken killed.
Ken, seeing this, just turned the other way and left, not wasting his time.
He slowly hunted and killed more goblins, reaching his 80th goblin.
But he had an unwanted encounter with a group of six bears, just lying around. All of them turned to Ken and stared, Ken stared back as well.
[6 bears in one place? What a surprise~ And they all looked very hungry]
The system commented, surprised.
'Monster grouping up isn't a surprise, the forest has some dangerous monsters. We are just on the edges, so there is no encounter with anything dangerous.'
Ken sighed and turned around, going in the direction of the kobolds.
The bears growled and all of them began to chase him.
Ken sped up, keeping just a good enough distance as he guided them to the kobolds.
Arriving at the place where the kobolds were, he passed them, and sped up without delay, leaving the bears a bunch of kobolds to feast on.
After a while of running, he found a few more goblins, killing them on sight.

[Hmm, 20 more to go. Come on get this over with already~!]
----Meanwhile----
"Ugh! I am lost!" Aisa shouted, frustrated as she walked around the forest.
She had come for her adventure test but ended up getting lost.
"Where did I come from?" Aisa scrutinized the place she was, trying to find anything familiar so she could backtrack, but she couldn't recognize anything, making her more frustrated.
She gripped the sword that was given to her by the Adventure Association, very much annoyed by her situation.
But a sudden idea came to her and she didn't hesitate to act on it. "Arcanum Ages of Valor Tech Support."
Instantly, a screen popped up with a cartoonish boy floating on the screen.
"Tech Support! How can I help you?" the cartoonish boy asked cheerfully. Aisa's expression was cold, her usual state when dealing with strangers.
"I'm lost in the forest. Help me get back to the city," Aisa demanded, making the cartoonish boy stump for words.
"Ahem...!" The cartoonish boy faked coughed, getting his composer back. "This is Tech Support, and you are playing a realistic adventure fantasy game. Of course, you can get lost; it is given... Also, if you call out 'Map,' a map will pop up showing the places you explored while the places you haven't will be blacked out," the cartoonish boy suggested with a big smile. Seeing Aisa's cold expression, he broke out in a sweat. 'What a cold girl...' he thought.
"If that is all, adios!" he announced, and the screen disappeared. Aisa nodded and called out, "Map."
Just like the cartoonish boy said, a screen popped up showing where Aisa was. She had been going around in circles. Aisa pursed her lips and headed to the edge of the forest.
"Finally back," she muttered, relieved. But then,
"KKKKKK!" a screech came from the side, making Aisa panic. She drew her sword, which was a little heavy for her, and faced the source of the screech.
It was a goblin. "Ugly..." Aisa blurted out in disgust.
The goblin seemed to take offense and rushed towards Aisa. Surprised, she swung her sword around randomly.
"Go away, you're disgusting!" Aisa shouted, and somehow one of her random swings landed, smacking the goblin's head and killing it instantly...
