I still can't believe that what I saw next to me this morning was Emily, not Aimee. I don't understand why all of this is happening, really.
If asked about my feelings, honestly, I still love Aimee very much. But I can't reject Emily's presence either.
Yes, I am indeed a mess right now.
"Good morning, Honey."
Emily's soft voice startled me, her smile looked beautiful. However, despite that, something is still missing; I long for Aimee's smile. What is happening to my body and mind? Why can't I fight against all these conflicting emotions within me?
"Good—good morning, Honey."
"What are you thinking? Don't tell me you're thinking about your ex!"
Emily glared sharply, as if she understood what was going through my mind at the moment. Of course, my head, which actually wanted to nod, ended up shaking instead. Emily's piercing gaze seemed to influence my thoughts and make them even more chaotic.
