Aimee's POV
Two suitcases were already in Alpha Vincent's grasp when I met him in the meeting room of his mansion.
Honestly, there was a small glimmer of hope left for Alpha James to defend my presence in the pack. Well, at least I hoped he would prevent Alpha Vincent from taking my belongings. Turns out, I was wrong, foolishly hoping for something that was bound not to happen.
"Thank you, Alpha Vincent."
I lowered my gaze so that Alpha Vincent wouldn't see my eyes that were on the verge of tears, but it turns out he already knew and hugged me instead.
"Don't worry, we will definitely overcome them. At the very least, you should be happy and able to regain your lost strength. Let's redirect your focus there first, and then you can address your pain towards them." Alpha Vincent gently stroked my head.
