"We need to get stronger, that's for sure. We are too weak right now"
Fein nods her head in agreement. She looks deep in thought and asks, "Do you know anything else about how these Rooms and Doors work?"
I pull up my status and worlds screens for Fein. "We have 6 new types of Rooms to explore, so at least 14 new rooms to look through. The chances of getting nothing good in any of them is quite low. The best part, is that we don't have to stay in each door for 24 hours. Opening the doors and seeing inside will give us some clues."
I open the west Door of the second Room. A hallway leads down for about 10 feet before splitting 90 degrees in both directions.
"Ok, that makes things harder."
Down the left path is a door that open to a normal Room. The doors have lights above them, but they are off.
I notice a wire connecting all the doors to the one on the east side of the room. I head out and go to the other side of the hallway. It opens to a similar room, 4 Doors, wires to the west this time, and unpowered lights over the Doors.
Fein silently watches me as I look through the Rooms. She seems concerned, but doesn't say anything. I sit down in the hallway and say,
"So, we have no idea what these Rooms are, and nothing helpful has shown up from the system. I guess we just have to hope we get-"
The system interrupts me with the loudest sound yet. Like a church bell from the inside, it almost gives me a flash migraine, and Fein falls down to the floor with me.
It passes quickly, but the phantom pain stays for longer. When it finally ends, I see the notification from the system.
(Requirements fulfilled! You can now choose a Class and Stat! Please choose before entering a Door.
Class options: Tamer, Manipulater, Caster, Ninja, Warrior, Thief...
Stat options: ?, ?, ?, ?, ?...)
The Class list continues for longer than I care to read. The Stats are all blank, which is weird. Why say it's an option if it makes me choose randomly?
I see Fein staring at her screen as well, so I guess she also got these options. I look through mine for awhile and find some Classes that look good.
(World Traveler: by traveling to 3 worlds and opening 4 Rooms, you can become a world traveler. This Class makes the new worlds you enter more favorable towards you, but does not change the worlds behind the Doors.
Stat Dragon: by having Stat Transfer and 7 stats, you can unlock this Class. Stat Dragon improves the efficiency and effectiveness of your stats, but the only way to gain more stats is through items.
Challenger: unlocked by ????. Increase the difficulty of new worlds by an unfair amount, but increase quest frequency by 10000%, and unlocks passive abilities early. Gain 5 passive abilities of your choice, and stats improve at a higher rate. Warning! This Class makes the worlds almost impossible to not die in. Not recommended for the weak willed!)
I talk with Fein, and she says she didn't get any Class like that. I think it might have to do with my memory loss, because this is stupidly strong. I debate with myself for a long time, but I end up choosing Challenger.
The main reason I went with this is because of the quest frequency, and the unlock requirements. It just shows question marks, so it must be something I did that Fein didn't, but none of the Classes overlap too much with the requirements, so the chances of it being anything that happened recently is low.
I look at the Stat options and see one of them changed. It now shows CHR. I can't pull up any info about it, other than the name. It stands for Charisma. Could be useful, but I'm not too sure yet. I tell Fein to wait before choosing a Stat.
(Congratulations on getting a Class! All unopened Doors are now being updated based on your choice! Choose Passives for your Class!)
Fein didn't get the last part of the notification. I look at the list of Passives. It's massive. 3 collums of different types, with thousands of Passives in each one. I see a sort button, and sort it by highest level to lowest. It only shows up to Epic, with the best possible being Divine.
I guess handing me 5 Divine Passives would be a bit too much, and the Epics are at the fifth level. Basic, uncommon, rare, unique, and epic are my options.
I choose the best looking ones.
(Epic weapon boosts: greatly increase ability to use any weapon, and make all weapons you use considerably more powerful.
Epic Mana Healing: infuse mana into your body to heal it at a very fast rate.
Epic Mana Reserve: increase the amount of mana you can store in your body by a large amount. Does not increase mana generation.
Epic Energy Generation: modifies your body for the generation of different types of energies. The type and amount is determined by what stat you infuse into your body.
Epic Vocals: greatly improve your body through the use of sound. Singing, talking, humming, or other wise. Increase your bodies connection to your mind, and allows the manipulation of other's minds to a small degree. (More effective with rhythm))
I think the Epic Vocal is the best. Monologues are useful now!
The others are great as well, as expected of an Epic. Fein chose the Mana Warrior, which passively uses her mana to empower her when she fights, and can automatically use her skills 'if optimal'.
Now that I know we won't die instantly, I head to the third Room. I walk in and see nothing different. I try to open the east Door, with wires going to it, but it won't budge.
Instead, I go to the west Door and walk in. A graveyard. Great. And no memories for this world. Umm. And a horde of zombies running right at us. If my Return wasn't on cool down, I would use it immediately.
