I climb off the deer and walk over to Fein. "You ok?" She seems to have a few injuries, some scraps and scars, but nothing too bad.
"I'm fine. Do you have a plan?" She asks me as we walk through the streets. "Not yet. This is a good place to get stronger, so we should stay here for a bit."
If we can get more skills, and more levels, we're bound to get something good. And I hope I can find out more about the gods and demons, since they seem important to the System.

With no real goal in mind, we set about the city, killing monsters and helping civilians. From what I can tell, no more monsters are showing up, at least for now.
I wouldn't be too surprised if more appeared at some point. With that in mind, we should probably get some resources.
"We're going to need more food and water soon, and hopefully somewhere to sleep. There might be more monsters at some point, so keep your guard up."
Fein just nods, keeping an eye out for any threats.
Now that I think about it, she never told me much about her past. I know she's part of the special team sent to clear the Black Forest dungeon, but that's about it.
The way she acts and her battle intelligence makes me believe she is some sort of military soldier, or something similar. Her eyes are sharp as she looks around, paying attention, but not strained.
Her movements are fluid and certain, with an element of grace, or something. In other words, she's really good. It makes me happy to not have to worry about her safety if we get separated.
{World Boss is now spawning!}
(Quest: defeat World Boss! Change quest to Challenge?)
I get the two notifications at the same time, and it seems like Fein did as well. A rumble off in the distance tells me where the Boss is. I can't see it, but I hear explosions.
Me and Fein share a look, and I make the Quest a Challenge. We run towards the explosions, passing by others who are running away.
(Challenge: defeat Zift, the fledgling demon!)
Fledgling demon? If the normal demons are on the same level as gods, then this won't be easy. I suppose that's the point, but still!
We turn the corner to the sight of what seems like a gargoyle with black wings tearing apart a human corpse, it's red eyes glaring, trying to kill us with just it's eyes.
The denon jumps into the air, flying towards us at breakneck speed. We barely dodge, and I use all of my boosts. I use Gravitational Energy to make myself lighter, as it tries again.
This time, I jump over it, and it almost crashes into the ground. I see Fein off to the side with a spear, ready to fight.
My best chance at winning would be to get rid of it's wings, so it can't fly. I jump to the side as it swipes at me, and I jump over a kick as push myself towards it, latching on.
I spon around to it's back and try to punch the wings. It hurts, a lot, but a spider web crack goes out, making the demon screech, and attack me again. I barely get out of the way.
It doesn't make too much of a difference, as an explosion forms at my feet, sending my up to the sky, and landing painful on the cement.
Fein intercepts the demon, giving me time to recover. I use Mana Healing on myself, the effects much better than before. My injuries heal at a visible rate, and I get back on my feet on a few seconds.
Fein backs off as I charge forward, drawing the demon's attention. It roars again, and slashes at me. I dick under, and pinch it in the ribs, further cracking the stone creature.
It screeches and kicks me in the ribs, sending me flying due to my lowered weight. I roll across the ground to reduce the impact as I heal myself again. My ribs feel broken, and they take a while to heal.
The demon charges at me, but Fein throws her spear at it, knocking it's head to the side. It screeches and charges at Fein. I get up and chase after it, pushing myself with kinetic energy.
I get close enough to attack, and I use Fireball with black fire, as I grab it's wing. It howls in pain, stopping instantly. It throws me away, and glares at me with absolute hatred.
It stops moving completely, standing still for a second, before it drops dead, slowly disintegrating. I use healing on myself and Fein, and watch as the gargoyle disappears, leaving a black feather where it used to be.
(Challenge completed! Blank stat+5, CW item, CW skill, Passive: Rare Energy Control, +";$((_; feather)
That's... A lot, to be honest. It was surprisingly easy for a Challenge. Was it because of the fire? The gargoyle seemed furious at me after I used it, but then it just died.
(Rare Energy Control: allows for increased control of energies outside of the body)
(+_+$;_; feather: a feather from +_+!$;. It may grant the ability to +_;_!+$, as well as +_+$; and +_+$!)
The Passive is really good. It'll help a lot with Energy Generation, and I might be able to throw my fireballs at some point. You know, the purpose of a fireball.
The description for the feather is pretty useless. It says "may" instead of "will", which is slightly concerning, but it apparently gives three powers. One is likely flying, since it's a feather, but the other two are a complete mystery.
I walk over and pick up the feather, which is pitch black gives an unnerving feeling to me. The darkness spreads through my hand, which turns into a claw again, and crawls across to my back, the pain almost making me pass out.
Fein stands beside me, keeping watch as the feather melts into my hand, and I to my shoulder blades. I hold my breath and fight for consciousness as the pain rolls through me, and I feel a few muscles tearing.
When it's finally done, I look up to the sky, before my vision is filled with cement, as I hit the ground, unconscious.
