How many years have I been trapped... I don't really remember. I don't remember the faces or voices of my friends or family...
Everything feels empty.
I don't remember anything, all I recall is the reason I'm in this room.
I locked myself down here because there's someone up there.
He's frightening. He has horns. He has long black hair. He has no eyes.
*Knock knock knock
The sound of knocking on the door startles me.
"Dad... I know you're inside, it's safe now, come out."
I remain silent.
"Dad..?? Why are you silent...?"
I choose to stay silent, holding my breath.
"D@#n why the h#)/l ar...?" The voice starts to sound strange.
Moments later, the voice fades away. I breathe a sigh of relief.
*Tik tok tik tok
The old wall clock ticks. And I can't stay here forever, but the fear of that creature outside makes me rethink my intentions.
At night, when the full moon illuminates the small crack above the bunker door, I hear the voice again.
"Dad, I miss you... I want to see you."
I try to ignore it, but the voice persists, growing more urgent, more... eerie.
"Dad, I'm scared... I'm alone here. Please..."
My heart aches hearing it. I know it's not her.
Yet, doubt begins to creep into my mind. And in desperation, I approach the door.
*Knock knock knock
"Dad... I'm here..."
I crack the door open slightly, and the moonlight illuminates a face so similar to my daughter's, but her eyes... empty, devoid of life.
And before I can shut the door, the creature lunges, and everything goes dark. My daughter's voice, which should have been my strength, has become my weakness.
