Elara's anger boiled over, her vision blurring with rage. "You will pay for that Lirien!" she snarled, her claws extending as she charged forward.
Lirien's apologetic smile grew wider, his eyes brimming with excitement. "Elara! Bring it on."
The fight between Elara and Lirien rage on, their abilities on full display. Elara's anger and determination fueled her powers, granting her a temporary boost in strength and speed. While attacking with her claws at short range, she created orbs of hardened blood, which she sent hurdling at Lirien's direction not giving him any chance to breathe. Lirien stumbled back, his eyes widening as Elara's claws sliced through the air with deadly precision.
"You're stronger than before" Lirien stammered as he barely dodged one of the orbs that flew pass him with incredible speed, his light abilities struggling to keep up with Elara's enhanced speed.
Elara's eyes blazed with fury. "You took down Nia! You'll pay for that!"
Lirien tried to defend himself, but Elara all sent the glowing red orbs of blood flying at him easily over whelming him. He managed to block most of them, but the rest managed to hit him in the stomach making him to clutch it in pain as he spat out a mouthful of blood. Using this opportunity to rush towards him before pinning him to the ground, her claws raised for the finishing blow.
'Damn it! I should have taking her out first, this is not how I wanted it to end, I should have seen it coming since I know how Elara is attached to Nia' Lirien said to himself as he closed his eyes expecting the blow…but it never came. Opening his eyes and looking up, he could see a terrified expression plastered on her face, her glowing red eyes going paler by the second. Lirien followed her gaze and paled as well, his eyes fixed on the figure standing in front of Elara.
"Kai…" they whispered in unison, their voices trembling.
LKai's cold, calculating gaze swept over them, his eyes flashing with a hint of amusement. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here. "Two losers fighting each other like dogs."
'Why the hell is he here, I thought he was meant to be schooling abroad, what is he doing back here, damn it, damn it, damn it, there is no escaping him now.' Lirien and Elara both sharing the same thought.
Elara and Lirien exchanged a fearful glance, their minds racing back to their past. Flashbacks flooded their memories, showcasing their childhood duels against Kai. They all knew each other due to their families' prestigious background. Because of that the children will once in a while duel to test their capabilities. And they had never won against Kai, not even once. Kai's ability to manipulate space, combine with his unmatched hand to hand combat skills, had always left them defeated and humiliated.
Lirien tried to scramble to his feet but Kai's spatial powers pinned him down. Elara charged forward, her claws flashing in the cold snowy light, but Kai effortlessly dodged and countered with a devastating punch. He then teleported to Lirien side before kicking him with great speed and strength. Lirien's eyes widened as he felt his ribs crack under the impact. He could have dodged that, but the fact that his inner strength had already been drained by the fight with Elara, coupled with the pressure and restriction of movement caused by Kai's spatial abilities. He was left vulnerable.
"You're still as weak as ever," Kai sneered, his foot pressing down n Lirien's chest causing him to grunt in pain. "You never learned how to overcome your limitations."
With a flick of his wrist, Kai sent Lirien flying out of the arena, the blonde haired warrior unable to continue fighting. As he landed on the snow, before being teleported out, a single thought flashed through his mind with a pondering expression on his face. 'I wonder if Elara can win…Nah!' Lirien suddenly disappeared.
Elara's eyes blazed with determination as she got off from the cold ground. "I won't go down without a fight!"
Kai turned, his eyes filled with amusement as he chuckled. "Oh, Elara, your still as annoyingly desperate as you where before."
The two clashed, their specialties locked in a fierce battle. Elara's blood manipulation and Kai's spatial abilities created shock waves that sent nearby combatants flying out of the arena. The ground trembled beneath their feet as they exchanged blows, their abilities on full display. She had seen how easily Kai had dispatched Lirien, as if an adult was handling a child. She could not afford to hold back even a little.
Elara's claws sliced through the air, but Kai's spatial ability allowed him to teleport behind her. He struck with a swift kick, sending Elara crashing to the ground.
As she struggled to get back to her feet, Kai's gaze locked onto hers, his eyes cold and unforgiving. "You never stood a chance, Elara. You're still the same weakling from our childhood duels"
Elara's anger surged once more, her powers fueling her strength. She launched herself at Kai, their fists and feet flying in a blur of motion. The battle raged on, their abilities clashing in a spectacular display of power and skill.
The Council of Ten watched the battle unfold from their large holographic display, allowing them to view the entire arena, their faces grave with concern. But as they witnessed Kai's effortless dominance, their expressions changed to ones of impressed awe.
"Remarkable," one of the council members whispered. "Kai Gravitas talent is truly exceptional. He may be the strongest recruit we have seen from tis set of recruits."
"It is expected," One of the Council members replied. "After all he is from the number one family in Croatia."
The other council members nodded in agreement, their eyes fixed on the battle below.
The fight continued, Elara refusing to back down despite Kai's overwhelming power, even till now she has yet to actually land a blow on him, which caused her to be discouraged, her eyes shaking a little. It was clear to everyone watching that Kai was the superior one, his abilities and skills honed to perfection.
