Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: First day, First Confrontation

Aria woke up from his slumber, his eyes slowly opening to the familiar sight of the lavish dorm room. He stretched his athletic frame, yawned, and swung his legs to the side of the bed. His gaze fell upon Kael, Lirien, and the unknown boy, all of whom were dressed in there black and gold uniform. He could see a lot of injuries and bandages on their bodies, though the person who looked more injured was Kael. Aria's expression remained neutral, his cold blue eyes devoid of concern or curiosity.

Kael, noticing Aria's gaze, sighed and began explained the events of the previous night. "When we went for dinner yesterday, after we sat down to eat, a group of second-year students approached us and started bullying Eryndor," Kael said, nodding towards there roommate whose name was Eryndor. "When I tried to defend him, they ganged up on me, Lirien tried to help but they were too strong."

"We would have been able to fight back, even win, but the person leading them was among the top ten in the second year ranking" Lirien said quietly with a sigh.

Aria listened his face impassive, his eyes never leaving Kael's and Lirien's faces. Eryndor meanwhile, looked nervous, his eyes continuously darting between Aria and the others.

Without a word, Aria stood up, walked to the bathroom, and began his morning routine. The others watched him, knowing better than to disturb him while he was at it. They were also very surprised at Aria's indifference at the case.

After his morning workout, he took a shower, and changed into the black and gold uniform provided by the school and joined the others, who were waiting for him for some reason.

Leaving the room, they walked toward the diner, Eryndor trailed behind, his eyes fixed on the ground. Aria didn't even acknowledge his presence, his gaze fixed on the path ahead. 'Why are this guy's following me like I owe them money' Aria pondered annoyed, but he didn't show it on his face.

Kael and Lirien exchanged a worried glance, knowing that Aria's indifference was a sign of his cold and calculating nature.

"Hey! You don't think his gonna do anything stupid, Right?" Lirien whispered to Kael

Kael then turned and faced Lirien before speaking quietly, "Well…I have not known him much since we met just yesterday, but based on the attitude I have seen him display, as long as it doesn't affect him directly, he really won't care."

Upon arriving at the diner, they went to get their food and all went to seat on the same table. Although Aria wanted to avoid it, he could do nothing about it.

As he was eating, he could feel various gazes glancing at him and the gang with admiration in their eyes, since all were the first year females. Although Aria was still insanely handsome with all the dirt on his face and hair mixed with his clothes as well, that were basically rags.

Now that they were seeing him all cleaned up, his white hair that was tied in a bun type ponytail shining in the light mixed with his glowing blue eyes as well, it was simply a heavenly sight.

If before he looked like a prince who was thrown out of his home and left to leave among the beggars, now he looked like a god who descended from the skies.

Of course the rest of the group garnered attention as well, but still not as much as Aria. They were like a boy band group, with Aria as the leader.

Among those stares he could feel gazes of enmity, he glanced back quietly and saw a group of second years looking at their group. 'Ughh! What trouble on the first day' Aria thought to himself as he continued eating.

Soon the second year students approached them, each of them carrying prideful expressions on their faces. They numbered up to six.

"You guys must think your real hot stuff huh?" One of them asked as he put his hands on Kael and Eryndor's shoulder, causing Eryndor to shiver a little. The rest of them circled around the table. Seeing this Kael stood up and began to retaliate with a sense of justice contained in his words, asking why they were doing this, and a heated argument ensued.

Aria had already guessed that this set were different from the ones of yesterday, since this set carried hints of jealousy in their eyes. They were most likely trying to prove dominance, so as to impress the female students since Aria and the rest kept receiving those glances from them.

Aria immediately stood up, with his tray in hand and began walking away. He didn't have time for this nonsense this early morning.

One of the second year student, foolish enough to think he could take on Aria, slapped the tray out of his hand. Aria looked at the tray on the floor and bent down to carry it. The second year student then grabbed his shoulder. "Where do you think you're going?"

Aria's expression didn't change, but his eyes flashed with a hint of annoyance. He grabbed the tray and turned around, his movement swift and deadly, and slammed the tray into the students face. The student crumpled to the ground, unconscious, with a few loose teeth.

The diner fell silent, the students staring at Aria in shock and fear.

Aria spoke up, his voice cold and detached. "What the fuck do you think you're doing? Don't touch me unless you have a death wish."

The remaining second year students rushed towards him after seeing this their fists raised thinking they could beat Aria with their measly number, but were starting to be dispatched one by one by Aria, whose hand to hand combat prowess exploded. Kael and Lirien looked at each other before rushing in and assisting Aria. Soon, they had defeated the group.

The rest of the students were shocked. How could 3 first year students dispatch six second year students with such ease, they really deserved to be in the top 10.

Aria then calmly walked over to the second year students table, gathered their trays of food, and brought them back to his table. He began eating their food without caring hoe the other students looked at him. Eryndor meanwhile looked at Aria with respect shining in his eyes.
